Why do we treat them like pets?
Trap them in a cage
Is it wrong for wanting them to stay by our sides forever
Why do we limit them?
Force them to follow the rules
Blend them in with the rest of us
Why do we clip their wings?
To prevent them from flying away
Or to stop them from flying towards their dreams
Why do we protect them?
To keep them safe from the world's cruelty
Or to keep them in ignorance
Why do we love them?
Because we are human
And that's we do, we love
Because we are selfish and have desire for some sort of relationship, greedy for affection
Why do they hate us?
Giving them all we can but still they refuse
Because we limit them
Them and their beautiful dreams.
I hope nobody copies this horrible poem, but seriously sometimes I feel that people are such haters and then they question why people don't like them. Simple because sometimes you might laugh at our dreams or tells us to wake up. But you know what? I'm awake, I see the world and I see people failing, depressed and dying, but also I want to dream and I don't need anyone to tell that I can't to this or that its life you can't warn people about every possible danger they got to learn it on their own.
I dedicate to my high school guidance counsellor who basically laughed at my dream, I'll remember till that day I die. But I don't hate you, I just don't like you or want your "advice" anyway.
