Y/N POV:

I stood at the door to Tundra Treks, the family owned polar bear tour guides of Churchill, Manitoba.

I knocked on the door, and before I could even get in the 3rd knock, a blonde haired boy with bright blue eyes opened the door.

"Hi! I'm Owen, you must be Y/N!" He introduced excitedly, holding out a hand.

"Yep, that's me!" I replied, shaking it. "I'm here to start my first day!"

"Perfect! Follow me," he responded. As I followed him through the building, I couldn't help but notice how pretty his eyes were. I blushed at the thought and closed my eyes to clear my head. I'd just met the guy, I didn't need to be swooning.

Owen led me a short way on to a small office with a lady who looked almost identical to him. I assumed she was his mother.

"Hi, Owen, who's this?" She asked, smiling.

"Mom, this is Y/N!" Owen replied, gesturing towards me. "She's the intern?"

"Oh, yes, I remember you! Well, welcome to Tundra Treks! I'm Mrs. MacKenzie, and I know you've met my son, Owen."

Owen smiled.

"He'll be helping you memorize facts and other things to make your job easier."

I grinned and nodded my head. "Thank you, Mrs. MacKenzie."

"No problem, dear. Now, Owen will take you to the spare office, he can help you start right away." Mrs. MacKenzie then pulled out a little bag with brownies. "Take these as well!"

"Awh, yeah, thanks, mom!" Owen smiled and rubbed his hands together, taking the bag. "C'mon, let's go! Hey, you don't have allergies, right?"

"Uh, no, Why?"

"These things are made with nuts—that's what she said."

I raised an eyebrow. His face flushed, embarrassed. We stood in silence, then burst out laughing.

"'THATS WHAT SHE SAID—HAHAHAHAH!"

"I KNOW, I KNOW! HAHAHAHA!"

We laughed so hard our stomachs hurt, and we had to hold onto the walls to walk normally. It was the hardest laugh I'd ever had.

"Okay, so, polar bears can survive for how long?"

"From 20-45 years."

"Great Job, Y/N!" He leaned over the table and grabbed a brownie from the bag. "That deserves a brownie."

I smiled and took it from him, taking a bite.

"Holy crap, this is awesome! You were right about the nuts, they really do taste good."

"That's what she said," he replied writing down something.

I almost choked and swallowed my bite.

"How do you say this stuff with a straight face?" I asked, laughing.

"I dunno. It's a gift, I guess," he replied, shrugging. Suddenly, he perked up and looked at me with a smile on his face.

"Hey, wanna play a get to know you game?"

I nodded, swallowing the last piece of my brownie. "You go first!"

Owen grinned. "Alright, sure!"

He thought for a few moments, then brightened. "Oh, I've got a cool scar from a while ago!"
He stood up and started unbuckling his jeans.
