The Devil's Nightmare (Read description)

Chapter 3: The Chase

The Narrator looks through what you have chosen, then grinning.

"Mmm... This will be fun. Good choice there, little one..."

The Narrator then opens the page to the empty part, thinking and writing into the pages, before stopping and placing the ink pen down.

"Now... Let's get started with this section..."
Ahem...

Xjoui and Hako agree to look around the area of this nightmare, finding a dead guy, a lot of blood, and a pipe wrench. Xjoui, being the strengths out of the five, takes it in case of emergencies. Other than that though, there's nothing else really useful expect for this slip of paper on the dead guy.

Hako: What's this?

Xjoui: It's a note, dumbass.

Hako: I know that part, but what does it say inside of it, asshole?

Xjoui: I don't know, you're smart, go read it!

Hako: Ugh, you're such a puss...

Hako then picks up the slip of paper, unraveling it and looking at the contents inside. Its all sloppy and written in black ink, dried up blood staining the old, fragile paper, and it looks like he had wrote it quickly before meeting his demise. There are only four words written in big lettering, which say "THERE IS NO ESCA-" with the last letters of 'escape' not being written, most likely from this guy's demise.

Hako: It says that there is no escape... We're stuck in this hell.

Xjoui: What the hell do you think happened here...?

Hako: I don't know, but look... There's a city down there. Civilization must've been around at times.

Hako points down through a broken window, pointing to a destroyed city with flesh looking walls all around it. It seems to be floating in the sky as of right now, being held by a couple meat strings and a big obsidian platform. The only entrance to the city is the short meat bridge.

Hako: I don't think we're entering there any time soon...

Xjoui: And miss the chance to learn about this place? No way!

Hako: You see that bridge? That's such a small platform for all of us to cross! One of us could slip from the slippery meat and fall to our eternal doom, or the city could crumble under us. I mean, it doesn't look that well stabilized.

Xjoui: A city means civilization. People, humans, some form of living was here before whatever happened to this world.

Just then, a loud banging hits the roof and front door, signaling that something is here.

Xjoui: Oh shit...

The banging grows much louder, the ceiling crumbling and the doors hinges growing weaker by the second.

Hako: We gotta get the fuck outta here!

Xjoui and Hako jump through the broken window, landing on a very unstable balcony. Unfortunately, the monsters heard it too, wanting to kill and hunt as a scream from one alerts all nearby.

Hako: We gotta go now, Xjo-

Hako gets grabbed, being brought up to the air.

Hako: AGH- XJOUI, HELP ME!!

Xjoui: Hold on, I'm coming!!!

The Narrator then closes the book once again, the first set of chapters now complete.

"You did well. But that didn't stop the monsters from capturing one. Will they be able to escape from the grasp of the monsters in this hell? Or will one of the characters meet their demise? That's for you to choose, and for me to create. But for now... I think we need some rest. We will leave this part of on a cliffhanger and go see how the others are doing. You can have that cabin, just over there. I will meet you here once again at nightfall... Now, goodnight."

The Narrator cleans up the campsite, and walks into the fog with the book and all his papers... The scene then cuts off with you putting out the campfire and going to rest for the night.

So sorry for such a long wait, but I feel like the month of October is a great time to come in with this new chapter. Hopefully you love it. No choices this chapter, but don't back out yet; you will have more for the next set of chapters.
