It was a calm day on the Thousand Sunny, with everyone immersed in their usual activities. Luffy lounged on the deck, Usopp catching some fishes, Chopper preparing some of his herbs and medicines, Robin reading a book, and Zoro napped nearby, Brook singing a song, Franky inventing a new machine and Jimbei handling the ship handle. Sanji, after preparing a delicious parfait topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream, was on his way to serve it to Nami.
He found her outside, focused on her navigator duties, carefully studying the log pose and charting their course.
"Nami-swaaan! Tokubetsu na dezato wo youi shita nda yo! (Nami-swaaan! I prepared a special dessert for you!)," Sanji announced with his usual charm, placing the parfait in front of her.
Nami looked up, raising an eyebrow, but she couldn't hide a small smile. "Arigatou, Sanji-kun. (Thank you, Sanji-kun)," she said, taking a bite and savoring the taste.
Sanji's eyes softened, practically heart-shaped as he gazed at her. "Nami-san, kimi no utsukushisa wa umi no houseki yori kagayaite iru yo. (Nami-san, your beauty shines brighter than the jewels of the sea)," he flirted, leaning closer with hands clasped in admiration.
"Hai hai... (Yes, yes...)," Nami replied, waving him off with a small laugh, though a faint blush brushed her cheeks. She was used to Sanji's endless compliments, but sometimes she couldn't help being a bit flattered.
Suddenly, Luffy looked up at the sky, his eyes widening in surprise. "Arashi!!?? (A storm!!??)" he shouted, and everyone's heads snapped up, alarmed by the dark clouds rapidly gathering above them.
The wind picked up fiercely, and the Thousand Sunny began to rock as the waves crashed against it. The Straw Hats scrambled to keep their balance and secure the ship.
"Nami-san! Hold on to me!" Sanji yelled, reaching for her as the ship tilted wildly. Before she could respond, he threw his arms around her to keep her steady.
"Sanji, nani shiteru no?! (Sanji, what are you doing?!)" Nami yelled, surprised by his sudden hug.
"Nami-san wo mamoru tame da yo! (I'm protecting you, Nami-san!)" he replied, holding her tight.
Just then, a bright flash of lightning struck, lighting up the entire ship. A strange surge of energy pulsed through both Sanji and Nami, surrounding them in a faint glow as they both lost consciousness, their bodies limp in each other's arms.
As the storm passed and the sea calmed, the crew regained their balance and looked around.
"Nami! Sanji! Daijoubu?! (Nami! Sanji! Are you alright?!)" Chopper yelled, rushing over with Usopp and Robin close behind.
"Luffy, they're unconscious!" Robin called, kneeling beside them with concern.
The rest of the crew gathered around, trying to wake Sanji and Nami, but despite their efforts, both remained unresponsive, lying side by side on the deck.
And with that, the chapter ends, leaving the crew and the reader to wonder: what strange power had the storm brought upon them?
