Weeks had passed, and in that time, Sanji and Nami had grown unexpectedly close. Sanji had toned down his usual perverted antics and instead spent more time listening to Nami’s thoughts, working to understand her perspective. Yet every so often, he’d catch his reflection in the mirror and couldn’t help but smirk, admiring Nami’s face.

One quiet afternoon, Franky called everyone to the deck with excitement in his eyes. “Minna! Koko ni iru, kikai wa junbi ga dekita zo! (Everyone! Gather around, the machine is ready!)” he announced, gesturing proudly at his invention.

The crew erupted in cheers. After a month of living in each other’s bodies, Nami and Sanji exchanged a quick look. They both knew this was the moment they’d been waiting for—or at least, that’s what everyone thought.

As Franky powered up the machine, Nami turned to Sanji with a small, genuine smile. “Kochira wa omoshirokatta yo, ne? (It’s been... interesting, hasn’t it?)”

Sanji smiled back, a hint of sadness in his eyes. “Hai… kangaekata o kaeta, Nami-san. (Yeah… it’s changed how I see things, Nami-san.)”

The machine whirred to life, sparks flying as it began a powerful reaction. But after a few moments, a sudden short circuit caused it to fizzle out and stop completely.

Franky’s face fell, visibly disappointed. “Mou! Shippai da... (Ugh! It failed...)”

Everyone was silent, but Sanji and Nami hid their true relief behind a show of forced disappointment. As they exchanged glances, a sense of quiet happiness passed between them, their bond stronger than ever in this unexpected twist.
