They found a bench in the park and settled in, watching children play and couples stroll hand in hand. "Do you remember the first time we met?" Ara asked, a nostalgic smile brightening her face. Chenle nodded, a smile creeping onto his own. "Of course. It was at the duo project thingy, we were forced to be together," he recalled, warmth flooding his memory.
Ara laughed softly. "And we came first. I knew right then we would be great friends," she said, her eyes sparkling with the recollection.
As the day unfolded, Chenle felt an increasing urge to embrace the art competition. With Kun and Ara by his side, he sensed that he could confront his fears. "Alright, I'll do it," he announced suddenly, surprising even himself.
Ara's eyes widened, filled with joy. "Really? That's amazing, Lele!" she exclaimed, wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug.
Upon returning home, Chenle hurried to his studio, eager to begin a new piece for the competition. Kun and Ara watched from the doorway, pride radiating from their smiles. They understood the significance of this step for Chenle and were ready to support him every inch of the way.
Days turned into nights as Chenle poured his heart into his artwork. He experimented with techniques, colors, and textures, pushing himself beyond his comfort zone. Kun and Ara frequently brought him meals, checking on his progress, their words of encouragement lifting his spirits.
One evening, as Chenle was adding the final touches to his piece, Kun entered with a steaming cup of tea. "How's it going?" he asked, handing the cup to Chenle.
"Almost done," Chenle replied, savoring a sip. "I think this might be my best work yet." Kun smiled, pride evident in his eyes. "I never doubted you for a second," he said, a warm reassurance that settled in Chenle's heart.
The day of the competition arrived, bringing a whirlwind of excitement and nerves. Kun and Ara accompanied him to the venue, their unwavering support bolstering his confidence. As they wandered through the gallery, Chenle marveled at the incredible talent on display but felt a newfound belief in his own abilities as well.
When it was time for the judges to announce the winners, Chenle held his breath, his heart racing. "And the first prize goes to... Zhong Chenle!" The room erupted in applause as Chenle made his way to the stage, joy and disbelief flooding through him. He accepted the award, scanning the crowd for Kun and Ara. They were beaming with pride, their support having paved the way for this moment.
After the ceremony, they celebrated with dinner at Chenle's favorite restaurant, Belle joining them with her cheerful demeanor. "I knew you could do it," Ara said, raising her glass in a toast. "To Chenle, the most talented artist I know!"
Kun chimed in, "To Chenle, and to many more masterpieces to come!" Belle joined the toast with a radiant smile.
As their glasses clinked, Chenle felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the people in his life. He realized that with their support, he could overcome any obstacle and chase his dreams. In that moment, he knew he was truly blessed.
