The school courtyard was quiet after the meeting.

Chenle lagged behind with Ningning, watching as Karina, Danny, and Winter walked off, laughing among themselves.

Chenle narrowed his eyes. "Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks they're up to something."

"You're definitely not," Ningning replied, crossing her arms as she watched the trio disappear around the corner.

Chenle scoffed. "They're not even subtle. Whatever they're planning, we need to be ready." He shook his head in frustration.

Ningning smirked, tilting her head. "Good thing we're always two steps ahead."

They exchanged a knowing look before hurrying to catch up with the others.

A large whiteboard at the front of the room displayed different event sections... Logistics, Entertainment, Decoration, Volunteers, Fundraising, and Publicity. Students chatted quietly as they settled in, waiting for instructions.

Mr. Lee, the teacher overseeing the event, clapped his hands to get their attention. "Alright, everyone! Thanks for volunteering. We're splitting into teams based on your strengths, so choose wisely."

Students started moving into groups, naturally gravitating toward their friends.

Logistics & Scheduling
Ara, being naturally organized, picked this category. Her smile faded slightly when she realized she'd been paired with Karina... a forced partnership that neither of them liked.

Publicity & Marketing
Ningning and Haechan, the chaotic duo, jumped into this category. Their outgoing personalities and persuasive charm made them perfect for promoting the event, though they had the potential to cause trouble too.

Fundraising & Budgeting
Giselle and Renjun, the perfectionists of the group, took responsibility for managing the budget. Meticulous and detail-oriented, they ensured every cent was accounted for, though their intense focus might overwhelm others.

Entertainment & Performances
Chenle and Mark, known for their charisma and spontaneity, took charge of coordinating performances. Their enthusiasm dimmed when Danny joined at the last minute and immediately slacked off, leaving Chenle and Mark frustrated.

Decoration & Setup
Jaemin, creative and energetic, signed up for decorations. He wasn't expecting to be paired with Winter. Old tensions made this assignment awkward from the start.

Volunteer Coordination
Responsible and approachable, Jeno and Jisung stepped up to handle volunteers, making sure tasks were divided and completed smoothly.

As the teams settled into their roles, tension lingered in the air. Forced pairings, old rivalries, and hidden agendas made it clear this festival would be anything but simple.

Ara and Ningning exchanged a glance, silently agreeing to stay focused, no matter what Karina or Danny tried.

Chenle muttered under his breath, "This is going to be a long festival."

Ningning laughed softly. "Better get used to it. But we can handle anything."

Karina, meanwhile, smirked at the other table, already plotting small ways to disrupt the event. Winter and Danny followed her lead, their whispers unnoticed by the rest.

With plans made, teams organized, and tensions quietly simmering, the Cultural & Charity Festival had officially begun.
