What inspired you to write this book?

I'm a total sucker for a good enemies-to-lovers trope. After binge watching tons of Hollywood movies and television shows, I started wondering what it would be like if an ordinary girl from Smalltown, USA got thrown into the glamorous but cutthroat world of celebrity. What drama would ensue if she caught the eye of her big-shot boss? The plot for Emily and Daniel's story was born!

What was the inspiration behind the main character and their love interest?
Emily is a small town girl with big dreams. Underneath her shy demeanor lies a stubborn streak a mile long. I wanted her to be ambitious yet relatable. Daniel, on the other hand, is swoon-worthy in that charming yet broody leading man kind of way. But being in the spotlight for so long has left him jaded and distrusting - the perfect recipe for fireworks between him and headstrong Emily!

What sparked your interest in writing, and how did you end up writing on Wattpad?
I've always loved getting lost in a good story. In high school, I discovered I had a knack for crafting my own tales. Wattpad was the perfect place to share my work with other bookworms and get feedback to improve my skills. The supportive community here keeps me inspired to keep writing.

Do you have a favorite scene in your story? If so, what makes it special to you?
Oh it has to be the scene where Emily and Daniel share their first kiss! All that tension had been building between them and when their lips finally meet, sparks fly. It was so fun to write both of their inner thoughts and reactions as they give into the feelings they've been fighting. You can truly feel the magnetic pull between them.

How do you create and develop your characters? Do you base them on real people, or are they entirely fictional?
I start by sketching out basic character profiles - describing their looks, backgrounds, personalities. But I like to let my characters take on a life of their own as I write. Sure, I may take little character traits from people I know, but my characters become totally fictional amalgamations in the end. The creative process of fleshing them out through their experiences and interactions is truly my favorite part of writing.

Do you have any favorite romance authors, on or off Wattpad, who inspired you to write romance stories? Feel free to name up to three people and some of your favorite stories they authored.
Three romance authors who've really inspired me are Sally Thorne (The Hating Game, 99 Percent Mine), Colleen Hoover (It Ends With Us, Verity) and Christina Lauren (The Unhoneymooners, Love and Other Words). I adore how realistic yet swoon-worthy their characters feel. Their stories always leave me with a book hangover, desperate to immerse myself in another romantic tale!
