Normane Valley Hospital

Chapter 1

It was a peaceful night of work for the nurses, doctors, and etc at Normane Valley hospital. The children were doing ok, and so were the eldery. A calm girl with ginger red-ish hair came walking down the hall, her heels clacking on the ground. She turned into a patient's room

"Hello Mr. Kennedy, how are you doing?" M asked as she walked in and put down Mr. K's food.

"Oh I'm doing quite lovely! Say, did I get any visitors today?" Mr. K asked

"Mhm, your wife came in, you were asleep at the time though. Sorry you missed her!"

"Oh it's fine, it's getting harder to stay awake longer at my age!" He chuckles light-heartedly. M also laughed. She said her goodbyes and walked out as Mr. K ate his food. She walked past other nurses saying hi and such.

"M! Hiiii!" Maxine said as she jumped on M, excited as usual.

"Haha! Hello Maxine! Though try to be quiet, the patients are sleeping remember?"

"Oops! Haha! Sorry I forgot."

"It's ok, just try to remember more."

"Ok! Bye M, I gotta go help Jaxin and Mason in the childrens section!" She waved as she ran off. M and Susan are the only student volunteers who are working in the adults area, based on their age. Over in the childrens area Jaxin, Mason, and Maxine are helping some of the kids fall asleep

"And they all lived happily ever after," Jaxin finished as he closed the book and smiled and the little girl and boy he was reading to, "They're so cuteee."

Mason walked by hearing Jaxin and smiled, "So are you!" He laughed slightly

"You big idiot  -_-" Jaxin said as he rolled his eyes jokingly as he held Mason's hand as they walked out. Maxine found them.

"Can you both not be lovey dovey for once! >:(" She said as she pouted as they made her feel single all the time. She was single though. Mason and Jaxin blushed.

"HUH?!" They both exclaimed in unision, Maxine just just laughed as they walked through the halls. Dr. Langley walked by and thanked them for all the help they do around there.

"It's really nothing!" Jaxin exclaimed as Mason and Maxine nodded.

"You always say that! Welp, it's late you kids should be getting home now! Go get your friends and go home! You all still have school tomorow right?" Oliver asked as he chuckled.

"Oh shoot we do! Bye Dr. Langley!" Maxine exclaimed

"Please, call me Oliver! Me and the others have been getting attached to you all lately."

"Bye Oliver!" Mason said as they all went to go find Susan and M. Susan was walking around coming by and grabbing the garbage from the patients rooms. She went outside to throw them out. Once she got back inside, she noticed something.. A small trail of blood! She panicked and followed it, worried that a patient was hurt. She turned round a corner and saw a dead squirrel. She felt relieved but grossed out at the same time. She picked it up and threw it outside and walked over towards the childrens section. She saw her little brother and the rest of them waiting for her.

"Susan! There you are! We couldn't find you!" Jaxin cried as he hugged her, afraid of the thought of losing his big sister.

"Hey! I'm ok! I just had to throw away some garbage!" She said rubbing Jaxin's back

"I'm not kidding, he was about the call the police." Mason said as he practically pried Jaxin off of Susan. Susan said sorry for making everyone worry, and they all went home.

As they walked out, Susan felt as if someone was watching them. She decided to brush it off. Boy would she ever regret that.
