I've heard multiple people talking about how a single mother who lived with her child alone was having an affair or a father who lived alone with his child, and rumors spread that he was abusive with his wife, which is why she left him, but none of that was true wasn't it? Some people would spread those kinds of rumors to others because they just wanted to look down on others, or just because they looked poor. But they don't know the real reason why some single mothers/fathers are raising their children alone, it's almost as if they don't care about the real reason they just wanted attention from people from work or their neighbors, but when the truth comes out their lives would be over, their kid could have gone along with the rumors and hurt the kid of the single parent but that would lead to trouble if the truth comes out the people who spread that rumor would live a miserable life. Neighbors start harassing their house, coworkers start bullying them, and people start giving them a glare/the cold shoulder, and their kid could gain the same treatment at school as most of their students only have single parents or none at all.
Now, if people spread rumors like "That person is having an affair," "That woman was carrying someone else's child," or even "That Man abused his wife and child," don't believe them without evidence or just don't believe them at all. But if someone spreads that rumor then that means they're the ones doing them/used to do them.

Most family members love their children/siblings but is that true? If it was they wouldn't have believed in a single lie. Let's say when a relative spread the word of how you "Sexually assaulted" them or how you were staring at their niece in a "Sexual" way they immediately turned their back on you or worse hurt you and kicked you out of the family. If you were family they wouldn't have hurt you or said anything that could hurt you, except they could have taken your side or asked you, and that person who is framing you for answers. If they believe in a lie that just means they never loved you or cared about you, it was all a faced.
---------------------------------------------------------
People spread words about how you were an ex-gang member, like a biker gang, a yakuza, or a mobster, and some people believe that. But know this: if people spread those rumors about you being an ex-mobster, then that just means they were one of them.
---------------------------------------------------------
There are all kinds of rumors people would spread non-stop and others keep believing them. Times have changed, and yet people still believe in rumors no matter where they are; rumors like this cause trouble not just for you or for others, but your hometown could be seen as a joke/make it look like it is stuck at the old age. So do yourselves a favor and STOP BELIEVING IN RUMORS.
