Unexplained occurrences happen every day. But if you possess the "Yo-kai Watch" you will have the amazing and rare ability to see the elusive "Yo-kai": invisible, spirit-like entities responsible for life's daily annoyances. But beware: When a Yo-kai enters your life, things will never be quite the same.

A young Izuku was in bed as his mother was telling him stories about a Yo-kai.

Inko: And that's the story of the Yo-kai, Nonuttin known as Whispocrates.

Izuku: Wow, that's one really silly Yo-kai.

Inko: I know sweetie.

Izuku: Mom, do you think I can meet the Yo-kai.

Inko: I don't know honey, but I know you'll be happy when you see one.

Inko had some belief in the existence of Yo-kai, and she passed that belief on to her loving son. Izuku loved listening to them, as much as he loved quirks. As he grew older he also studied about different Yo-kai along with his quirk analysis. He learned about the Tengus, Oni, and Kappas and so on. A part of him always wished he could meet real Yo-kai as well as become a hero. But he'll soon learn that sometimes wishes can come true. We now go to a 12 year old Izuku as he's running into a forest while his childhood friend turned bully Katsuki Bakugo and his goons were chasing him.

Izuku: Gotta get away.

He ran deep into the forest and then he heard Bakugo call out to him.

Bakugo: I'm not done with you Deku, I'll see you tomorrow.

Izuku stopped running to catch his breath.

Izuku: Phew, I think I lost them. *looks around* And now I think I'm lost.

Izuku walks through the forest in hopes he would find a way out of the forest.

Izuku: I hope mom isn't too worried. Huh?

Izuku walked out of the trees and found himself in an incredible flower field.

Izuku: Wow, this place is beautiful.

His eyes soon came upon a large tree in the middle of the clearing. The tree had a strange rope with zig zag papers tied around it in way that looked like a belt, but this wasn't what caught Izuku's attention. At the base of the tree sitting on small rock, stood an ancient looking capsule machine with stone capsules inside.

Izuku: What is a capsule machine doing here?

???: Feed me.... Feed me....

Izuku: Huh, whose there?

???: Feed me.... Feed me....

Izuku: Huh, is it coming from the machine? Do I have to give it a coin?

???: Feed me.... Feed me....

Izuki pulled out a 100 yen coin and puts it into the slot.

???: Feed me! Feed me! I'm so hungry I need to eat!
