"I see you've added to your team," she sneered, looking pointedly at Nathan.
"Good to see you again, Nathan." Maia says smirking at him. Nathan looking up at Maia's beautiful inhumane-like appearance.
"You have something of mine dear." She says now staring down at Solace. "Hand it over, and no one will get hurt."
"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!" Solace shouts bluntly at Maia.
"I'm not. But you definitely must be for speaking to your superior like that." Maia says glaring at Solace. "I'd hate to have to extend to... drastic measures." She lets out a heartless chuckle.
"So just hand me the piece and there won't be any trouble."
"Not happening." Ethan replied firmly. "We still need the third piece you have."
"Oh, you mean this piece?" Maia taunted, holding up the third piece, its dark glow casting eerie shadows across her face. "I don't think you'll be needing this any time soon." Maia says to them. "Now, don't make me have to say it again.
Give. Me. The. 4th. Piece. Now." Maia says in a stern tone.
"HELL NO, MAIA. HELL. NO. YOU'VE OFFICIALLY LOST YOUR DAMN MIND." Rowan shouts out at her. "SERIOUSLY, YOU NEED TO STOP THIS."
Maia then gives Rowan a deadly glare. "See.. I don't like asking twice. Let alone a third time. I don't see the point in sparing you guys any longer nor myself anymore." Maia says concerning Ethan as he looks at her.
"I warned you."
Just then Maia levitated into the air as she raised her hands, and the waves began to churn and swell, "The water!" Solace shouts, and just then an overwhelming wall of water started to form behind Maia, fueled by her emotions.
The sea roared as it heaved forward, as she managed to conjure up a large massive Tsunami.
"HOLY SH-" Rowan yells but gets cut off by Nathan In critical thinking, spinning the boat around, activating the emergency turbo button as the massive wave chased them.
Solace losing her balance landing on top of Rowan as they both fell. They both glare at each other holding intense eye contact.
"Uh- I- I am so sorry.." Solace says blushing and Rowan helps her roll off of him as they both sit up. "No- No it's okay I should've held my balance.." he says back to her with a nervous yet awkward tone.
Maia notices Nathan's quick movement and departure and lets out a sinister laugh as she starts to follow and chase them down.
The Tsunami and intense rising of waters from the sea following close behind as well.
They barely made it to shore, racing back to the city, but the waves followed, flooding the streets and sending panicked citizens fleeing for safety.
Determined to make it out, Nathan quickly takes his phone and tosses it over to Rowan.
"Call the broadcast channel!"
"No offense dude, but this is NOT THE TIME FOR MEDIA ATTENTION." Rowan says freaking out.
"YOU IMBECILE! CALL THE NEWS CHANNEL SO THEY CAN ANNOUNCE AN IMMEDIATE EMERGENT EVACUATION NOW!" Nathan shouts back at Rowan.
Rowan called the broadcast station, and within minutes they set off the city's emergency sirens. Just as they entered the city of Romania the high levels of water, including the tsunami itself started flooding the streets and stores as people evacuated.
Some making it out of Romania, Some screaming to find high land, others sadly getting stuck under the waters of Maia's wrath.
The sight of all of this destruction worried and angered something inside of Ethan. He couldn't take it anymore. With chaos unfolding around them, Ethan climbed to the top of the truck, shouting to Maia,
"MAIA YOU NEED TO STOP THIS! YOU'RE GONNA DROWN PEOPLE AND OVER FLOOD ROMANIA!"
Maia's icy laugh echoed over the crashing waves. "All of this could have been avoided, if you just would've handed me the piece. You chose to run. And only weak people run, Ethan."
Just as Nathan, Rowan, Solace, and Ethan reached the top of the hill of where Nathan's house is located, Maia unleashed a powerful strike. Flipping the truck and sending them tumbling.
The boat sliding off the chain into the front yard of the house as the truck lands upside down at the top of the street. Injured and disoriented, the group crawled from the wreckage, only to watch helplessly as Maia levitated down, slowly walking forward, with an expressionless look on her face claiming the fourth piece from Solace's grasp.
She looked down at them, her expression devoid of any warmth.
Ethan, gripping his dislocated shoulder, staggered to his feet. Every step was agony, but his gaze held Maia's with a fierce resolve.
"This isn't you, Maia. You have to see what you're doing—all this destruction, all this... hate. You're hurting people. You're hurting us."
Maia's lips twisted into a bitter smile. "You don't know a thing about me anymore, Ethan. If you did, you'd understand that I'm only becoming what I was always meant to be."
"Strong."
"Unstoppable."
"Free."
"From men like you who only think about themselves."
"Sometimes, it's better to just... give up." She says glancing at the piece in her hand. before looking back down at them heartlessly.
"Something you all should've done a long time ago."
"Now this is the consequences of your own actions."
