Chapter 99: A Evening of Truth & Bonds

It had been about a few hours since Shikamaru left her house after a nice relaxing nap; Kei was now getting ready for her dinner with Naruto at Ichiraku Ramen. She walked towards her closet and pulled out a light blue and white kimono dress with a pink bow around the waist and a long dark blue slik part connected underneath. She pulled it out and decided she would wear this tonight for dinner with Naruto.

She headed into the bathroom and changed out of her robe and relaxing pants, and was now wearing her kimono dress and black pants with her hair neatly combed out of her ponytail. To finish off the outfit, she had on the beautiful sliver scale snake bracelet given to her by Naruto as an apology for the harsh thing he said to her about being a traitor because of her father, Orochimaru.

As Kei took one final glance at herself in the mirror, ensuring she was good to go, she smiled, feeling both nervous and excited about this evening. She took a deep breath, calming her nerves as she walked out of her bedroom and went downstairs to get her shoes on. Soon as put on her sandals, a loud knock was heard on the front door.  

'Who at my door? It couldn't be Naruto, right? He didn't mention anything about picking me up for dinner. ' Kei thought, glancing at the door.

"I'm coming!" She called out as he reached for the handle to open the front door to see who was visiting her right when she was heading out to meet up with Naruto.

She opened the door and was greeted by the sight of Naruto, but he wasn't wearing his usual orange jacket and pants. Instead, he was wearing a yellow and orange jacket with an orange shirt under and orange and red pants that a more polished look, along with brown sandals. Kei blinked, surprised.

Naruto, on his end, was doing his best to keep his composure.'That outfit looks great on Kei.' Naruto thought, blushing slightly at the sight of Kei's outfit, catching himself starting a bit too long.

"Uh, Naruto, I wasn't expecting you to come here," Kei said snapping Naruto out of his thoughts."Also, what with the outfit? I've never seen you wear anything like that before?" She asked.

Naruto chuckled, scratching the back of his head."Yeah, well, I thought it would be a nice surprise to come pick you up. I might have run into Mizuko-sensei while she was visiting Kaito. I might have mentioned we were having dinner tonight," He admitted."Next thing, I knew she got me this outfit and insisted I wear it. Gotta admit, it's kind of nice," He finished, glancing down at his new clothes.
