Jeno looked at his room one last time, his table that became empty, the packed bags he will bring, the atmosphere of coldness touching his skin.
His daze was cut when his phone buzzed, Haechan's message he was on the way to the train station, a signal for Jeno to stand up and be on his way too. He pulled and carried his bag. Some of their stuff was already in the dorm they had rented two days ago so Jeno only needed to carry two backpacks.
"Oh, my child, you are really leaving now" his aunt said with watery eyes. His cousin also attended Rose before and his aunt had the same reaction. "It's just Seoul auntie, you could always visit," Jeno said, not very fond of knowing how to reply in this kind of situation.
Jeno had never dreamt nor even thought about attending a known private academy in the city, Haechan was so insistent about it because he was dating someone who attends there.
Jeno never really understands how the two met, since they were like two different worlds but still collided. The Rose academy opened a scholarship exam that he and Haechan took and passed.
It was not out of luck, Jeno reassures that, because of persistence and as well as considering a better education both of them studied hard for it. Both of them are students with flying colours, and Jeno had found this opportunity as an advantage for a better and high quality university in the future.
One last hug, Jeno stroll outside seeing those trees that he grew tired of seeing, and prolly find when he goes to live in Seoul.
His uncle drove him to the station, listening to a weird talk show about flower language on the radio. Things can be deep even if they are quietly existing. Like a rose, it would be loud enough when you hand it over to someone.
That's the only thing Jeno could comprehend, Rose means love and romance. He doesn't bother to listen through after finding his headphones tangled inside his backpack.
"Be a good kid in the city okay" His uncle said in a casual, "I won't be seeing you screwing and getting a girl pregnant" He added.
Jeno understood the concern, "Uncle, I won't, I'm focusing on my study since I need to maintain my grades here" Jeno reminded the older one.
"You can do it, Your cousin did it just fine, you'll get through it smoothly" His uncle then replied. It has been a taboo to talk about his cousin around his aunt and uncle just a few years ago, after completely being out of reach.
Reassure them with a text, but never attempt to visit. Jeno swore he wouldn't be the same as him. He would be better.
"You are practically fifteen seconds late" Haechan said, he was glowing and it was obvious that he was excited. He would be so close to his lover, no more long distance relationship. "I got delayed since aunt packed us lunch" the younger would say just so Haechan would get easily distracted.
"Really! what did he cook" The guy chirped just like how Jeno predicted. He started poking the bento Jeno's aunt made that Jeno had to raise it high. "We will eat it in the train Haech, and this is my lunch, '' Jeno teased and continued to walk.
