You were the first crew of the Straw Hat, after being brutally forced joining in the crew. But for some reason you declined the offer of being the Vice Captain. The right hand of the captain, as for the apparent reason is you felt like there are better and suitable person for this position. So to make it up, you made a promise to Luffy that you will be the second closest person to him as it is equivalent of being the Vice Captain. Of course, Luffy agreed to it and in a matter of time you both became best friend.

Luffy and you would always tell each other if they have a problem. He even tells you his dream that only a few have known which is his brothers, Ace and Sabo. Sharing each other their own childhood stories.

After 2 years of getting forcefully separated by a cyborg looking kinda bear, the so called Pacifista. The crew finally reunited at the Sabaody Archipelago.

He is always looking so carefree and having the most determination than others. To reach for his goal of becoming King Of Pirates and his dream that have not yet been known by others. No matter what kind of situation he has been pushed into, he never waver while having the most big grin stappled on his face.

Even after being forced to make decision to abandoned their first ship, Merry Go. Facing stronger enemy than him, while having his crew to depend on him. One mistakes and he will lose everything.

Losing his only brother that made him almost went crazy because of not being able to save him even if he's infront of him.

Luffy did everything that he could without depending to others. Yes, he have his crew that loved and supported him dearly but he doesn't want them to worry on him as each of them have their own problem and struggle.

His crew also noticed this and they went to confront him but only getting a smile and "I'm fine!" in response. Some of them are not sastisfied with his answer but there is nothing that they could do.

You have come to noticed this and feel slightly irritated by his attitude. Moreover, he changed after being separated for 2 years period of time. You thought maybe it is because he needed time to adjust after not talking to you for a long time.

AN:I mean, I would be super awkward if I haven't been talking to the person for a long time. Even if we're close or sum. I needed some time but deep down I still care about them...

Luffy stopped telling you his problem and what has been going on through his mind. Usually, you two would have a nightime picnic at the crow nest while talking and bonding with each other.

Yes, he would tell you how tough his training for 2 years, and how he manage to be friend with the most beautiful woman, Boa Hancock.

Although, he left a certain part out, such as the Marineford incident. You figured it was because he doesn't want to talk about it and you respected his decision.

But one thing is, he is always smiling even if you noticed something wrong with him. You knew that have trouble sleeping because he had nightmare from losing his brother. It was the reason why he sneak up in the kitchen to steal some food, to ease his mind and he was hungry.

(Y/N) Point of View

As usual, I'm guarding the ship in the midnight. Although, Sanji insisted that a lady like me should have a comfortable rest and let him do the night shift but I politely refused. I find it is comfy and peaceful during night that is why I take up the night shift. Not only that, I also have trouble sleeping.
