Everybody split up as we sprinted to our stations. We were all armed in case we encountered any rebels. Before I went to my spot, I decided to go to my compartment for one last thing. The ring. I had left it sitting on my nightstand, I couldn't bear looking at it in my hand all of the time, it would just cause me grief. I burst through the door, and almost fall back when I see who is sitting on my bed. There he is twirling the ring around with his fingers.
"Matthew," I whisper, tears stinging my eyes. I see him stand up as I start to run towards him. I let him enfold me in his harms. Realizing that we are once again reunited, the missing piece of the puzzle finally fits. It wasn't the ring that made me remember, he was the one who made me never forget.
