Haru gently opens the door and her dad comes rushing in, still drunk and now angry. Haru never understood why she had to go through this every day, he never had a reason. Her father is just a bad person, that's it, no excuse, no reason, he's just bad. Before he can do anything to her, they both hear a loud bang. I think it came from down stairs, her dad hesitates, then leaves the room. That was... different. Haru sneaks out of her room and out of their apartment. She goes down to the floor below her and sees a door wide open. I can tell she's scared, but she continues anyways. She peeks through the open door and no one is there, it's an empty apartment. She feels a shock go through her body, she thinks she is being watched, before she can turn around a tiny almost thumping sound occurs. What was that? She stands there silently, looking into the darkness. Then she falls, it was not a thumping sound. It was the sound of a silenced gun.
