Taehyung’s grip tightened on his blade as Grim charged forward, his movements a blur of deadly speed and force. Each strike came faster than the last, as if Grim’s rage was pushing him beyond human limits. Taehyung barely managed to parry, each impact rattling through his bones and sending shockwaves across the crumbling floor.
The mansion around them shook, fragments of marble and wood splintering down as the walls groaned under the assault. Dust hung in the air, clouding their vision, yet they fought on, relentless. Taehyung swung his weapon in a fierce arc, aiming to push Grim back, but Grim sidestepped, bringing his blade up to slice toward Taehyung’s side.
With a swift pivot, Taehyung twisted out of the way, using the momentum to deliver a crushing kick to Grim’s chest. The impact sent Grim stumbling back, but he recovered in seconds, his gaze sharper, more furious than ever.
“You’ve lost yourself, Grim!” Taehyung’s voice was a desperate snarl. “What would your friends say if they saw you like this?”
Grim’s face contorted, his teeth bared as he let out a low growl. “They’re gone because of monsters like you!” His voice was filled with venom, each word a dagger thrown at Taehyung’s heart.
With a surge of energy, Grim lunged forward, his blade glinting in the dim light as he aimed directly for Taehyung’s chest. Taehyung spun, deflecting the blow, but Grim was relentless, his strikes raining down like a storm. Taehyung struggled to keep up, feeling the intensity of each hit, every slash inching closer to his defenses.
Finally, Taehyung caught Grim’s wrist mid-strike, twisting his arm back with enough force to make Grim hiss in pain. “It didn’t have to be like this,” Taehyung said, his voice strained yet resolute. But Grim only sneered, his free hand striking out to land a brutal punch against Taehyung’s jaw. The blow sent Taehyung staggering, blood dripping from his lip, yet he didn’t let go.
Using the momentum, Grim wrenched himself free and spun, slashing his blade upward, catching Taehyung’s shoulder with a jagged cut. Pain seared through Taehyung, but he pushed through, tightening his grip on his weapon and countering with a brutal swing that forced Grim back.
They circled each other, each breath a battle in itself. The flicker of the fires from the destroyed mansion cast shadows across their faces, highlighting the pain and hatred etched into their features. Grim’s eyes were wild, his face twisted with rage and anguish, while Taehyung’s expression was one of grim determination, refusing to yield.
With a roar, Taehyung charged, their blades clashing with a metallic screech. He aimed low, forcing Grim to dodge backward, but Taehyung was faster, striking out with a series of quick, precise slashes. Grim dodged the first two but took the third across his side, a deep gash that stained his clothing with blood.
Grim stumbled, his hand instinctively moving to cover the wound, but the madness in his eyes burned even brighter. He grinned, a chilling smile, and spat blood onto the floor. “Is that all you’ve got, Taehyung?” His voice was taunting, goading Taehyung into making a mistake.
Fueled by Grim’s taunts, Taehyung launched himself at him, their blades meeting in a flurry of sparks and metal. They were locked in a deadly rhythm, a dance of fury and desperation, each move more ruthless than the last. Grim’s strikes were wild, unpredictable, his movements almost animalistic, while Taehyung fought with a cold, controlled precision, each strike fueled by a simmering anger.
In a sudden twist, Grim ducked low, sweeping Taehyung’s legs out from under him. Taehyung hit the ground hard, the impact jolting through him. Grim took advantage, raising his blade to strike, but Taehyung rolled aside, grabbing a broken piece of wood and jamming it into Grim’s leg. Grim let out a pained snarl, stumbling back as blood poured from the wound.
