"Gasp,cough cough cough" I gasp for breath as when I eyes open I'll I saw was dirt and burst out,at first I couldn't see anything only black I take a wiff of the air and cough as the smell was like rotten eggs....wait rotten eggs there's only one smell that smell like that.....brimstone,why is there brimstone in Arizona,as I think that I hear something.like water leaking,after a few minutes of getting out of the dirt my vision slowly returns as my vision comes into view my eyes widened,everything was...destroyed,buildings toppled,cars all over the place and looked like they were never use for years,and the water leak sound was from gas cans leaking near me,I looked around to see the old mine in smoke,so that's were the brimstones coming from,I take a look up in the sky,it was all grayish like something was blocking out the sun,trees dead and......oh my god are those dead body's.

I use all my might not to throw up as I spot a pile of dead bodies in the middle of the street,I take a few steps and looked in the pile,there so decay I can't identify them,is everyone dead,as I look around for any signs for life I spotted a group of people gathered,finally "uhhh excuse me what's going on here" I say as I walk towards them,but as I get closer I notice there faces,they were faceless except there mouths that had teeth and there whole bodies were all black and sandish,the things turn to me and the one in the front opens it mouth and gives a roar and all bolt towards me,I scream and ran as fast as I can towards grandpas house that was barely standing and ran to the door and shut it and locked it,the creatures banged on the door while giving off snarls and growls,as the door slowly breaks open I ran to the back the kitchen all ruined and ransacked,pass the kitchen I head to the back door I look bad as the things busted open the door with a loud thud the door hit the ground and the creatures spot me and come as me with their claws out stretched I panic and throw and old kitchen knife at one the knifes blade hits the creature and black sand burst out of where I hit it and landed on the ground dead,but the rest still came after me,I rushed out the back door and run towards the cabin and shut the door behind me and locked it up."I'm gonna die,I'm gonna die,I'm gonna die"I cried thinking,what's going on,what is happening,why is it happening,my thoughts race it while trying to hold the door shut,those we're not humans,like sand zombies,as I'm using all my strength to keep the door shut,I hear commotion outside,before I can think of what's happening the door all of the sudden stops resisting,and then growling and slashing like the sand creatures are being attacked by someone or something,after a couple of minutes,the fighting stopped,i took deep breaths to calm my heart down and open the door,the sand creatures all lay dead on the floor black sand everything,it's like there blood is sand,I look to see my savors,huh..four arms,four eyes,paws,claws,two humanoid legs,these are not humans,these are wolves,no they have spider like features...spiderwolfs.

What the heck,but how is it possible,I think about it and actually it makes sense for mutations,if the world has turned into what I think it is,"you human are you ok" oh..my..god THEY CAN FUCKING SPEAK ENGLISH "y-yea" I chose to say the one that spoke English was a young adult female with white fur and black stripes with blue eyes "suta mak bassilik kubi" said the male with a full on black fur and red eyes "they even have their own languages" my heart was racing with excitement,I had a fascination with beast men when I first discovered anime so this to me this is awesome as most people would run from them or fight them,"shadow tusa fu bala vick,brrashmi stoc stu Mala ke" said the female with blue eyes,I don't understand what there saying but the female pointed at me "sorry if our appearance scares you" "it would be rude to be scared after you saved me" I answered the female looked at me with surprise "oh I..didn't expect that,most humans run when they see us" "don't worry I won't run,thank you for saving me I'm sam" the female smiled and raised her hand to shake my hand "I'm Eli,the one growing over them is shadow my mate,we have a 15 year old son at home" I shook her paw i gota say her paw a fluffy like a normal dogs paw "say eli,do you know what happened to the world,I'm afraid I just woke up" eli made a sad expression "I don't know but all I know that it happened two years ago the virus that made humans into those also mutated the animals and we were created",two.........years? If Been asleep for two whole years?,that means I'm 15 years old now,wow this is a lot to process."eli sees my expression and makes an understanding gesture and holds me hand "it looks like this all new to you,say how about you come with us,we'll teach ya everything we know" "DON'T YOU DARE SAY NO,SAY YES RIGHT NOW" "sure I'd love to".

Eli and shadow taught me a lot during my time with them,Eli was like a Carla but a beast men,shadow showed me around there cave he showed me there supply crates which had lots of food herbs and other accessories but when we reached the last crate with had one item some sort of stick like injector,"this injector was a top military secret" shadow told me "if we read it correctly it would give the user unbelievable superhuman traits,strength,speed,super sense,basically you'd become mostly less human",hmm a super powerful injector that's new,after that I got to know the family,there son Alex was the same age as me so we got along well and we got a lot in common,he became my best friend and kinda like a brother,Alex had shadows black fur on the bottom half of his body,and the white fur on the top half of his body,his eye were blue like Eli's,and has claws and,I learned a few things,they can use webs and clime walls like spiders,wow a real spider man,Alex got along with me as well,kinda reminds me of Mickey and Mikey they got used to me real quick,I wonder if all of them are still alive,especially bell cuz she's gotta take care of all my siblings since she's the oldest,I miss them,I think Alex reminds me of them,and that's why I get along with him,Eli and shadow were the best,Eli taught me how to make med brews and lots of other recipes,shadow taught me self defense and how to use a gun,it was the best time I even forgot the world turned to shit.

It's been two months since I lived with eli and shadow and I felt like I had a home again,but...not everything is all cupcakes and rainbows,as Alex and me were collecting herbs,we noticed something at there home.....fire we both run to the cave the lived in as we approached the cave,Eli was fighting a creature,a giant black scorpion.of course scorpions would get mutated Eli taught me about all the creatures and black scorpion are dangerous,shadow ran towards the scorpion,going for the stinger,Eli bolted to the head,with a WACK the scorpion sent shadow flying to the wall with its stinger "MOM!" Eli turns to me and Alex with wide eyes "GO GET OUT OF HERE,RUN AS FAST AS YOU—"before she could finish her sentence the scorpion jabbed its stinger Into Eli's side,Eli howled in pain,Alex screamed as Eli was thrown to the tree next to her shadow sees Eli and runs to her but the scorpion with quick precision grabs shadow with its pinchers and snapped his neck I watch in horror as shadows body fell to the ground,Alex layed next to Eli crying,i quickly rushed over the Eli whos barely breathing,I gotta do something i look around frantically for something to heal her I see there supply crate and quickly rush over to grab the injector I grab it and run to Eli,"Eli quick,inject this" Eli coughed out blood as she touched my cheeks with a tears in my eyes "no,black scorpions venom doesn't have an antidote, leave me" "but-" Eli stopped me" it's ok Sam" "NO ITS NOT OKAY" Alex cried "YOU CAN STILL LIVE,TAKE IT MOM" Eli touched Alex's cheek "I can't" she then turned slowly to me " please,protect Alex with your life" me but you've only known me for a couple of months,I look at her and saw her eyes,she's........she's serious she really trusts me with her son....i look at her with tears "ok I promise" but first,I gotta repay my debt,I look as the scorpion that's trying to get in the cave,I look at the injector "SAME DON'T" Alex cried staring at me in fear "if you do that,you basically won't be human anymore" I looked directly at Alex, "i got to do this to protect you" Alex cried as he gave me a big hug "please you don't have to do this for me" "but I will,you want that insect to get away with killing our mother,hey she was like a mother to me a mother for the apocalypse,Alex sniff and dryed his tears "no" "then let me kill it,for Eli" Alex thought about it and finally nodded,"ok" I smiled and took it in my hands ,this thing will give me abilities that no human has,I can't go back to being normal after This,but Eli and shadow have given me so much,and now it's Ken to return the favor,Eli has intrusted me with Alex,I will protect him and look after him,no matter what,I take the injector and jab it in my chest.
