The first spring wind blew, diminishing the rest of the mist of the previous season. The bright, warm rays of the sun began to take over, lively green grasses started to fill the once barren land. A lady with pure white locks matching her white cottony dress stood before the field. She took a step forward, feeling the moist of the grass between the spaces of her toes.
"I'm nervous." She mumbled under her breath while fiddling her fingers before she finally opened her eyes with the hope of seeing a pleasant surprise. Aries, the auspicious lady of Caprinae, gasped in amazement and walked excitedly over the field and took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh air of the season she had long waited for. "I can't believe it worked! It finally worked!" She yelled while jumping, circling over, and rejoicing in the little gift she just received, the gift of life. The small curve on her lips portrayed how glad she was as she witnessed in front of her the little colorful florets that were starting to sprout astonishingly out of nowhere, occupying the field with multiple lively hues. Those little flowers were the ones she had taken care of until this season came. She had been wishing it to bloom miraculously over a desolate land for years.
"Ram, our hard work paid!" She shouted cheerfully over the guy who was standing, leaning against the huge trunk of the old oak tree. A man with pure white hair perfectly matching his light blue eyes glared coldly at Aries. He has a symmetrical tattoo, a line curved at the upper end located at the right side of his forehead and a metallic piercing between his nostrils.
"What are you being proud of? These puny little sprouts? They didn't even reach their full bloom." He nonchalantly said while he roamed his eyes in disappointment. His action eradicated the gentle smile of Aries. On contrary to the words he stated, he was really amazed at what he had witnessed before his eyes, yet fearful of what will happen when the Caninae knew that their race had gained their power back over the years.
Among the entire race, Caprinae is known to be calm and polite, they once owned the large vast land called Bovidae in which they share their generous blessings. They are often mistaken to be weak because of their act of kindness. Among all of the clans, Caprinae is gifted with the power of life. Their silky silvery hair is known to be the source of their ability. The overflowing magic can heal but it is limited to bringing back someone's life. A life lost can never take back, it is against the natural life cycle.
They are selfless and have no care if labeled as fools as long as it will help the others. Elders of their clan taught each and every generation to have a heart for others, not only to those who are less fortunate but to all living things. Most of all, they thought the importance of life. It is a legacy that will run through them for a lifetime.
Unfortunately, some were egoistic. Not everyone understood the legacy they were keeping. Caprinaes were taken for granted. Greedy people used them for their own benefit and drained every bit of magic. People of their race almost came to extinction for they were mercilessly hunted down-beheaded, their scalp scraped until there's no more.
Mouflon, the leader of Caprinae watched before his eyes the fall of his family, of his people. Tears and blood. His people begged for mercy, the children cried. It pained him to know how ungrateful people were. That's when he realized that no matter how much you care for others, there will be those who will be blinded by voracity.
In the soundless night, when the weeping of his people cannot be heard, he sneaked out from their haven and began to chant words of a forbidden magic. It was that time when it came to his realization that they have to learn to give importance not only to others but also to themselves. They have life to keep just like the others. They worked hard for what they had gained, they didn't get those blessing in a snap of a finger.
