Running was all that she knew how to do. All she could see was trees upon trees as her breath became more raggedy with each step. The footsteps behind her belonged to a Titan, with severed arms but legs that are fast and a creepy smile that's upon his face. Destine didn't have time to look back as she hopped through branches and bushes but it only seemed to make the footsteps louder behind her.
"HELP ME!" She couldn't help but scream out as tears made it's way down her face when she tripped on a branch and rolled until her back hit against the tree.
Destine was scared out of her mind as she cried and the footsteps of the Titan only got louder as it was right in front of her, grinning at her from ear to ear like it won a prize.
Destine couldn't move, too frighten to get up from the bark she laid on. A hand reached out to her in an attempt to grab at her, but at that very moment a yell was heard as steam started to come out from the Titans neck where it had been cut down.
Destine widened her eyes as a man she never saw before stood on top of the Titans head.
"Can you stand?" Was the first thing he asked her.
She was too shocked to move but after a moment she finally had the courage to get up on her own.
"Thank you," she softly says as wind began to blow dancing strands of hair on her head.
"Come with me we can't waist anymore time on our mission, I already went off course," he said before jumping down from the Titan and getting on top of his horse.
"Right," Destine said with determination in her voice as she got on top of the strangers horse as the two road back to where the others were.
In that moment Destine didn't know would change her life forever.
