Garou: Even those who want to be monsters shouldn't be alone

Restless

Garou has gone through hero hunting for a while now. Each sorry fool standing in his way would wish he was on the other side of the planet now. Though not always brutal, Garou makes sure his goal propelled by each move he makes.

That was until a cataclysm happened.
There were earthquakes and explosions of massive scake happening from time to time, but this case was special.
City U was crumblikg and Garou, who had planned to catch some high rank heroes, was forced to postpone and flee.
"Best not get involved here after last time" - he thought to himself.

The previous attempt on seizing his determined victory through a breaking city resulted in him almost losing an arm and leg.
:If I repeat my mistakes so often i will only fall" - he gnarled as he leapt through the city's crumbling buildings.
He landed between two still standing buildings where he could see the lsst of civilians running away from the scene. As well as couple of low rank heroes, which he didn't feel the need to engage with.
Garou just scoffed and quickly ran past everyone towards the exit of city U.

He glanced back as more and more smoke appeared over the fallen city, thinking to himself: "This just ain't my day"
He kept walkong away, slowly because there was no rush anywhere, as the city kept turning to dust.
There were crowds of people by the city side. Law enforcements were pushing them back and urging everyone to leave.
"Pff" Garou thought to himself. "Bet they think those heroes are keeping them safe now"
He glanced over the crowds, noticing worried, surprised and weeping faces.
"If you saw what those heroes where doing there, you wouldn't be standing here"

He walked in the crowed, hoping to dissapear. He bumped into almost everyone who he passed by, but he couldn't care less. Everyone was busy with the spectacle sightseeing.

But one person did bother him.
"Hey"  Garou heard someone calling in his direction and felt a harsh hand grabbing his shoulder.
"Where do you think you're going hero hunter?" - the voice was monotone yet angry.
People around suddenly faced Garou and stepped back from him. I these few moments everything changed and Garou froze. He could have escaped, but now he felt like that moment had passed.

"Yeah i know who you are. You think you can just sneak out? Well not after you've destroyed this city, you don't!"

Garou just stood there, ''oh i destroyed the city huh? He's as clueless as he's dumb'' Garou thought. He heard the folk around him whisper and step back even more - "The hero hunter? Is that really him? Why is he here? Did he cause this"

The man who had grabbed Garou stepped in front of him: " I know it was you who caused this. Who else would"

Garou waited a second before scoffing back at the large man: "Tch, not like there's literally any other monster to do this" - He didn't even look at the man, though he knew another fight was coming. He was only hoping to end it quickly and run off. His fighting mood was long gone.

"Grr, you dare scoff at me you monster! Then prepare your bones because Calcium Smaher leaves no one intact!!"

People around them cheered this so called Calcium Smasher as if he was a celebrity.

"Shhs.. Calcium Smasher? Could you thick skull not think of a single better name"

"ENOUGH!!" - Hero roared as he bluntly flang his fist top down on Garou, but Garou simply front flipped over him

"Oh please, maybe if you had less of that desired bone density you could keep up with me" - Garou smirked

"GRRR!! I ATE CEREAL EVERY DAY BEFORE MY BONE STRUCTURE CHANGE TO INTAKE BUILDING LEVELS OF DAMAG..." - Garou swiftly struck heros face as he was charging at him and couldn't react in time.

"Yeah yeah keep your petty diet to yourself bonehead" - he withdrawed his foot, letting the hero fall unconscious.
"What a dumbass" - he exclaimed without excitement.
All the people around them began to fled ang Garou took the initiative to finally leave the city. He however was stopping a barrage of missiles that stuck the ground and started to release purple tinged gas.
Garou turned around and sure enough 3 more heroes had appeared.
"Oh well if isn't bunch of morons with no sense of passion" - he smirked at them.

"Surrender hero hunter, we're taking you in" - the purple themed hero spoke, certainly the same who dropped the missiles.
"Hhaha, im not the one who's surrendering blueberry. I fact i was about to make your job easier and leave. But you just don't want me to do you" - Garou took a fighting stance.

"Actually beautyberries are purple not blu.."
"Quite Maruka!" - the purple hero silenced the one besides him.
With little to no warning they all started attacking Garou, the two heroes besidez the purple one ran from each side while the purple was aimed his wrist lainchers at Garou, shooting tiny gas pellets.

Garou caught them all and was going to face the teo heros charging at him. But he was shocked for the heroes were holding two smoke beacons each, both were also wearing gas masks, countering the effects of gas.
"Damm these guys are coordinated" - Garou choked on the mist which spread at an incredible speed. The heroes began bareaging him as the main hero shot more pebbles at him, making the mist denser.
He couldn't breathe, but with what little space he had in his lungs, he blocked from the gas, allowing him at least to not get poisoned further.
He kicked one hero off, while catching other one's fists, knocking him out and taking his mask.

Now he focused on the main hero who launched himself in the air for a further rocket barrage.
Garou rushed towards him, when the hero smirked and suddenly Garous mask detached and melted. He began to choke again and this time the mist started to eat away his skin. He kept rubning forward, but the gas didn't end. He them figured that the hero is leaving a trail behind him so jumped in the air and out of mist.
Bht the hero was waiting for him a little higher, launching more rockets, but Garou passed all of them. Even using some to launch himself further, which shocked the hero.

"Impossible!" - the purple hero made one final, desperation, move to fight off garou with overloading his suit with gas.
However Garou was a step too close and grabbed and tossed himto ground where the mist exploded.
Garou latched to a building and saw how the two heroes from the start crawled out of the mist coughing. One took a pill, seemingly to decreaee the gasses effects.

Garou had no reason to stay here any longer and when another explosion came from the city he took the lead and jump off, hopimg to leave. But the purple hero called out to him, aiming his wrist laincher once more.

"Agh, do you fools learn to stay down?!" - Garou was frustrated.
The hero actually put down his hand and called his followers.
"We're not done here, eight now our priorities lie elsewhere"

They left Garou. "Whatever" - he rolled his eyes slightly and turned around.
As he walked he started to feel sick, the effect of gas were starting to seriously affect him.

"Damm it, just what i needed after all this" - his skin also started to peel a bit - "some hero, poisoning everyone around. Should have snapped his neck."
Weakly, Garou made his way towards a highway.

He limped forward, looking back ever once in a while, to make sure he's not being followed.
As he made sure everything's clear, he suddenly noticed a strange figure laying on the ground near the highway.
He was going to check it out since it was on the way where he was going.
"Huh... someone forgot his stash while running away. Nghh... might be something useful" - he pondered as he got closer.

About 20 meters from the supposed stash his eyes widened. It was no forgotten stuff, but a person. And a kid at that.
Well, more like a teen, he looked some years younger than Garou at around 19.

"What (cough).. the hell kid. What are you doing out here?"
The boy didn't respond, he was clearly knocked out with a bleeding forehead.
Garou kneeled down and saw a metallic cube besides the boy.
"(Cough) did you get knocked out by this?" - he took the cube, inspected it and threw it aside.

"What do I do with him?" - Garou looked around, pondering in distress. Both of them are injured, if he cares could he carry the kid?
"But if I keave him he dies for sure"

Garou gritted his teeth:"Damm it all!" - he carefully picked up the boy and put him on his back.
"You owe me one." - he gnashed as he slumped forward.
