The birds chirped and sang as I entered the garden. Flowers bloomed and trees swayed against the wind. Young deers drank at the pond with their mothers protecting them.
I sat under a tree and watched the animals playing peacefully in the garden. I lifted my head to take a nap. I was about to doze off but I was alerted by some rustling to my right. I flinched and swiftly turned my head towards the sound. A black boot stepped right in front of a bush. I looked up to see who was wearing it.
A Serpent.
He was wearing a suit, trousers and a cape all in black. His clothes were filled with holes and tears. Red wings towered above me casting a dark shadow on the ground. His horns were blocked by his fluffy, long hair so I couldn't figure out if he was royalty or not.
"Good morning, Prince Apollo," He said in a menacing tone.
"What are you d-doing h-here!?" I stammered, trying to shuffle away from him.
"No need to be so scared, Prince," He leaned over me.
"What do you want..?" I slowly stood up and took a step back.
"Well.." He began, "Your family has something of interest to me."
"What..?" I stuttered.
I hovered my hand over my sword's blade, ready to swipe.
He chuckled deeply.
"You."
Suddenly, bright lines of fire burned the grass and spiraled around his body. His horns glowed a bright vermillion as the fire began swirling his arms. Fire spread quickly around him. He reached his arm out towards me with fire crackling at his fingertips. He spawned a large fire orb and shot me with it. I swiftly flew over to the right while yanking my sword out of its scabbard, my wings being inches away from the orb.
"Nice reflexes, prince," He powered up another orb.
He instantly shot the orb at me, I quickly flew upwards away from the orb. It landed onto a bush that instantly caught on fire.
"Wow your aim is bad," I grinned.
"Oh, really?" He said.
He charged up his third orb but instead, he made it twice as big as the last two and instantly shot it at me. I yelped in pain as the orb burnt my skin, knocking me out of the air. I tumbled to the ground with a thump. I laid motionless on the ground unsure of what to do. The pain in my chest spread across my entire body. It was unbearable. It felt like I fell on top of a pit of spikes.
"Ah, I love the smell of burnt aviators in the morning," He laughed.
I looked up to see the serpent staring at me with a grin on his face. The world was spinning in front of my eyes. My vision blurred as he begun to step closer to me.
"Mina je likârd, lalet." He whispered in my ear seductively, the pain interrupting my thoughts. Just before I could say anything, my consciousness faded away.
