when you left, you forgot to erase your name from my heart.
you forgot to delete our conversations,
transcribed in every crevice of my mind.
you forgot to pack your memory that haunts me like a ghost.
do you know,
though?
when you left, i thought that was the end of you.
that my fragile mind would latch onto someone new,
and it'd dance to the sound of his soothing voice,
that it would parade the yard of his garden of thorns.
when you left, i thought that was it.
i thought i would decorate the empty pages of my diary, with words that weren't strung along for you.
but i was wrong,
because i'll never be done loving you
