Shawn's POV:
I'm walking into the hospital Monday morning ready to complete my plan. I've gone this far, so there's no going back.
"Hi, I'm here to see Mike Harris." I say to the receptionist.
"Okay, what is your name?"
"Shawn Marcum." I reply.
"Okay! Here is your visitor's slip." She hands it to me, and I make my way to the the fifth floor. As I'm in the elevator I get a text.
Dad: Did everything go as planned?
Dad: Haven't gotten a progress report from you.
Dad: It better have worked, I'm putting a lot of money into this.
Me: Yes, dad. Everything is going well so far. He doesn't remember anything. All I have to do is make him believe that his family is after him, and everything will be perfect.
Dad: Good.
The elevator finally opens and I walk out and to his room. I walk in and he's watching the TV.
"Oh, hey! You're the guy that was here with who I'm guess is my family?" He says.
"Yes," I begin. "I have to tell you something. They aren't your family, and if you want to stay safe, you need to come with me."
"W-what?"
"Okay, listen, your parents aren't who you think they are. Don't trust them. I know it sounds crazy and we just met, but it's true." I say, I hope this goes smooth because he's someone I'm not letting go, and like my dad said, a lot of money has gone into this.
"O...oh, what do I do?" He asks.
"Tell the nurses that you don't feel safe with them, because you probably go home today. Tell them that you'd rather stay with me." I can see the wheels spinning his head, but he reluctantly nods his head and pushes the call button.
The doctor comes in, and he speaks to them. I walk out to give them privacy and text my dad.
Me: He's talking to the doctor now, I'll let you know what they say ASAP
Dad: Got it
The doctor comes out and walks up to me.
"He has requested to stay with you and not see his parents. Usually I wouldn't agree with this, but since he has amnesia and he seems genuinely scared, so I agreed. As long as I get consent from you and a parent/guardian of yours."
Check, check, and check. Everything is going according to plan.
"You'll get the consent when my father gets here."
"Okay, I have to go now, but try and keep him calm, he's very unstable now. He can be discharged later today though."
She walks away and I pull out my phone to let my father know the progress and to get here when Mike and get discharged.
I walk back in, and he's just staring off. I feel so bad, but for this to work, he needs to trust me.
"Hey, you okay?" I ask.
"Yea, I just wish I could remember things. I only remember when I woke up. I can't even believe I didn't know who I was. What do I do if I can't remember anything?" He asks as his eyes start watering.
I walk over and sit in the seat next to the hospital bed, and grab his hand hoping it calms him. "Listen, I know it's terrifying, but you HAVE to trust me. I'll explain the rest soon, but not yet."
"Okay" He says. So far so good.
An hour or two go by when I get a text from my driver.
James: We've got a problem. Mrs. Harris is here and trying to see Mike. She's causing a scene. Don't leave the room, or else this whole thing is going to go wrong.
Shit I thought, he cant know his "mom" is here.
Me: Thanks for letting me know.
Mike's fallen asleep at this point and I just look at him. As long as his family doesn't cause any more problems, everything will go well.

A couple hours later, after Mrs. Harries was taken off the premises, Mike was finally discharged."All we need now is your consent, Mr. Marcum, for Mr. Harris to go home with you." The doctor said as Mike was being wheeled to a stop next to us.
"You have my consent. And thank you for taking good care of him." My father said.
We left the hospital and Mike was given a wheelchair to use since he can't use crutches because of his arm. We all got into the car and headed to my house which is across town. I can finally head back to my school. It's been about 2 months since I was last there. I just had to get to Mike.
