That evening, Blanca was in the student union room, papers scattered in front of her. William Lemington, the student union president, sat across from her, meticulously organizing his own stack.
Nick Holloway leaned casually against the wall, his eyes flicking toward Blanca every so often. "You know, Blanca, you work too hard. You should take a break more often. Maybe grab dinner with me sometime?" he suggested with a cocky smile.
Blanca didn't even look up from her notes. "I'm good, Nick, thanks. Miguel and I have plans." Her voice was polite but firm.
Nick's smile faltered, but he shrugged. "Can't blame a guy for trying."
William glanced up, sensing the tension. "Alright, let's stay focused. We need to finalize the budget for next semester."

After the meeting, Blanca met Miguel outside. He greeted her with a soft kiss on the forehead. "How was the meeting?"
Blanca sighed, linking her arm with his as they walked. "Same old Nick, trying to ask me out again. I swear, he's persistent."
Miguel's jaw tightened, but he forced a laugh. "Maybe I need to have a chat with him."
Blanca shook her head. "No need. He'll get tired of it eventually."
Miguel looked at her, his tone softer. "You sure you're not overworking yourself? You've been spending a lot of nights here lately."
Blanca smiled at him. "I'm fine, promise. Besides, I have you to take care of me when I need it."
