"You've been on your phone since you came, you're hardly concentrating on me, tell me, what's so amusing that you keep smiling at your phone?"

"You won't understand, coz you choose to be a single Pringle."

"Hanan!?" Amira scowled. "That's so petty of you to say!" She says, throwing her hands at Hanan, who winced out of pain.

"Ouch! Stop! Your hands are painful." Hanan groaned with a furrowed look.

"Then stop oppressing the single here, you and Najib can chat later, for now, concentrate on me. You know I'm annoyed that you only came to visit only because you wanted your dress back, simply coz he wants to see you wearing it? I'm jealous, you're prioritizing him over me!"

"No, I'm not, and about the dress, I promise to return it, so please bear with me."

"I don't have a choice but to, you're my bestie." She says, sulking, which made Hanan laugh.

"Aww! Thanks for understanding, now let me get offline to focus on my bestie... Ehn, there's something I'm curious to hear from you, what do you think of my brother?"

"Sorry, what?!" Amira blurts out with a laugh. "Why are you bringing Abdul into our talk?"

"Because I think you and Abdul are good for each other but I don't know why you hate the idea, or are you seeing someone? Are you in a relationship I'm not aware of?" She asks, staring at her closely, and from Amira's eyes, one can see that she is hiding something.

"What? No!" Amira snapped letting out a nervous laugh.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, once I get into a relationship, you will find out."

"Hmm, okay." Hanan sighed and tried to divert their discussion as it was clear to her that Amira wasn't ready to tell her the truth.

"It's sad that I didn't meet Uma and Daddy at home." She says.

"Yeah, I wished you'd come a bit earlier, they had an important event to attend, but there is always a next time."

"Yeah, insha'Allah." Hanan smiled.

"I just remembered!" Amira clapped grinning from ear to ear.

"What?" Hanan replied curious to hear what it was.

"You need to see the big fish Lucy caught."

"She's got a new man?"

"Yeah, she shared their Halloween pictures with me, she dressed as a cop, and her man dressed as an inmate, you need to see the pictures, the man is a hot snack."

"Really? What happened to her boyfriend, Christopher?" Hanan asked in full mood to gossip.

"You know she doesn't last in a relationship, but I think this one may last for a lifetime, coz the guy is very cute."

"Hmm, please show me the pictures, Lucy and I have lost communication, I've been so occupied."

"I will show you, there is my phone charging next to you, pass it to me." She says while pointing at her phone, which is within Hanan's arm length.

And just as Hanan disconnects Amira's phone from it's charger plug, a message from Cutie Patootie pops in.

"Shall we meet tonight? Once Hanan leaves your place, call me, I want to see you."

And in an instant, Hanan knew who it was. She felt pretty offended as to why they were keeping their relationship from her, but she quickly swallowed her annoyance and decided to respect their boundaries, they must have their reason for not telling her. She smiled at her thought about passing the phone when a video call from Cutie Patootie came in.
