Meanwhile, Ragini had unknowingly taken the drink that had been meant to humiliate her. At first, she felt a little lightheaded, the music and lights of the party blending together in a strange way. But as the moments passed, a warmth spread through her body, making her feel unnaturally flushed and uncomfortable.
She looked around for Jungkook, hoping to steady herself, but found him deep in conversation with some industry professionals. Her pulse quickened, and her breathing grew shallow. Something wasn't right. She tried to shake off the feeling, but the warmth only intensified, making her restless.
"Why do I feel so weird?" she muttered under her breath, pressing a hand to her chest.
As if sensing something was wrong, Jungkook's eyes darted toward her. He immediately excused himself from the conversation and made his way over to Ragini, concern etched across his face.
"Sweetheart," he said, his voice low and intense, his hand immediately reaching for her waist to steady her. "What's wrong? Talk to me."
Ragini blinked up at him, her breaths coming in shallow pants. "I... I don't know... something's not right, Kook," she whispered, her voice laced with discomfort and fear.
"Damn it!" Jungkook ran a hand through his hair, frustration bubbling to the surface. "What did they give you? Who did this? I swear I'll make them pay."
Jungkook's eyes darkened as he took in her state. His grip on her tightened protectively, his possessiveness flaring up at the sight of her vulnerability. Whoever had done this-whoever dared mess with her-was going to pay. But right now, she needed him. He could feel the tension coiling inside him, the rage barely kept in check, but he forced himself to focus.
"Let's get out of here," he muttered, his voice rough with restrained anger. Wrapping an arm around her securely, he led her toward the exit, not caring if anyone was watching. His only concern was her.
As they reached the car, he opened the passenger door and gently helped her inside, his movements careful but quick. Ragini leaned back against the seat, her chest rising and falling rapidly, trying to catch her breath. Jungkook's eyes never left her, his jaw clenched, his mind racing with thoughts of who could've done this.
Jungkook's heart pounded as he watched Ragini, her body trembling from the effects of the drink. Every instinct inside him screamed to get her home as fast as possible, but seeing her like this, he knew there wasn't time. He couldn't wait.
She was struggling, her breath shallow, hands gripping the edge of the seat like she was trying to ground herself. Her skin flushed, eyes half-lidded, a mix of confusion and discomfort clouding her expression. Jungkook's grip on the steering wheel tightened until his knuckles turned white. His possessiveness surged, the thought of anyone putting her in this state fueling his anger.
Glancing at her again, he made up his mind. There was no time to get home. He needed to do something now.
"Ragini," he whispered, pulling the car over to the side of the road. His voice was low, but there was an edge to it, a deep intensity he couldn't hide. "We can't wait... I need to take care of you."
He unbuckled her seatbelt, sliding closer, his hands firm yet gentle as they cradled her face. Her eyes fluttered open, her breathing unsteady as she looked at him, clearly affected by the drug but still trusting him entirely.
"Kook... I... don't know what's happening to me," she stammered, her voice shaking.
Jungkook's jaw clenched, his thumb brushing against her lips. "I know, Sweetheart. I'm going to make it better." His voice was filled with urgency, his need to calm her overpowering any rational thought.
