Act One Scene Four

Scene 4: The Battle for Earth

INT. CAPTAIN VEX'S SHIP - COMMAND BRIDGE

Captain Vex, Arya, Ben, and the crew stand at their stations, tension filling the air as the Tundroik fleet grows larger on the screen. The view outside the ship shows stars, the dark expanse of space, and the looming Tundroik warships that now form a blockade between them and Earth.

BEN
(nervously)
"So, what's the plan here? We're not just going to fight all of them, right?"

CAPTAIN VEX
(stern)
"We don't have much choice, Earthling. The Tundroik aren't known for diplomacy."

Vex gestures to Zara and Dr. Lithos, who step forward and start preparing their stations.

ZARA
(grinning with anticipation)
"Let's give them a warm welcome, shall we?"

Arya steps forward, her expression fierce and focused.

ARYA
"I'll help with the attack. But we need to break their blockade. If we can get back to Earth, I can locate the Starcore before they do."

Captain Vex nods, considering this.

CAPTAIN VEX
"Understood. Zara, Lithos, focus fire on their flagship. Arya, take the secondary fighters and engage the enemy ships directly. Ben—"

Ben looks startled as Vex turns to him.

BEN
(unsure)
"Uh... what do you want me to do?"

ARYA
(smiling)
"Stay alive."

BEN
(mocking)
"Oh, thanks. That's super helpful."

As Arya straps herself into a smaller fighter craft attached to the larger ship, the crew prepares for battle. The sound of alarms and the hum of energy weapons fill the air. Ben watches as the situation escalates, his anxiety building.

BEN (V.O.)
"I'm not cut out for this. I was supposed to be worrying about math tests, not... fighting off alien invaders. What am I even doing here?"

EXT. OUTER SPACE - MOMENTS LATER

Captain Vex's ship launches a barrage of energy blasts toward the Tundroik fleet, their massive warships lighting up as the two sides exchange fire. The smaller fighter ships engage in a deadly dogfight, zipping through space in dizzying formations. Arya's craft leads the charge, deftly weaving through enemy fire.

From the rear, Ben watches through the viewports as the battle unfolds. It's a chaotic mess of light, explosions, and speeding ships. His heart races.

INT. CAPTAIN VEX'S SHIP - COMMAND BRIDGE

DR. LITHOS
"Shields are holding, but not for long. We need to weaken their forces quickly!"

Captain Vex stands tall at the center of the bridge, commanding the battle with calm precision.

CAPTAIN VEX
"Zara, target their power cores. Break through their defenses."

ZARA
(with a smirk)
"On it."

Zara activates the ship's main cannons, and bright beams of light surge toward the enemy ships. One of the Tundroik warships shudders under the assault, its shields flickering as it takes damage.
