Ahaan was sitting with Akaay at the coffee shop, watching his friend sulk with his head down on the table. "Akaay, for god's sake, she was your tenth girlfriend. Get a hold on yourself," Ahaan said, trying to sound stern but failing to hide his amusement.
Akaay sniffled, looking up with red-rimmed eyes. "I liked her a lot, yaar."
Ahaan facepalmed himself. "She was just a fling, Akaay. You need to move on."
"I liked her a lot..." Akaay repeated, his voice barely above a whisper.
Realizing that Akaay needed a different kind of support, Ahaan pulled out his phone and called Vamika. "Can you come to the coffee shop? Akaay's being dramatic again."
Within a short time, Vamika arrived, her energy lighting up the space. She glanced at Akaay, who was still moping. "Akaay, come on. Let's go home. Ahaan, you should come too. Mumma and Papa can only talk to this madman," she said, rolling her eyes.
Ahaan nodded, relieved to have Vamika's company, and he helped Akaay up from his seat, guiding him to his car. The drive to Akaay's house was quiet, the tension thick in the air. When they arrived, Ahaan and Vamika exchanged glances, silently agreeing to cheer Akaay up.
Inside the house, Virat and Anushka were sitting in the living room, casually chatting. Anushka looked up and immediately noticed Akaay's red eyes. "Akaay, seriously? For this, you're crying?" she asked, a mix of concern and incredulity on her face.
Akaay sighed dramatically. "You don't understand! I really liked her!"
Virat raised an eyebrow, trying to suppress a smile. "And what? You think the world is going to end because of a breakup? You've got more important things to worry about, like your cricket practice."
"Exactly," Ahaan chimed in, eager to shift the focus. "You've got a big match coming up, Akaay. Focus on that, not on some girl who doesn't know what she's missing."
Anushka nodded, leaning forward. "Look, relationships are part of life, but they don't define you. You're talented and driven. Channel that energy into your game."
Vamika chimed in, "And besides, think of all the fun we have as a group! You'll find someone who actually appreciates you."
Akaay wiped his eyes, finally cracking a small smile at his friends' support. "You guys are right. I can't let this get to me. I'll just... focus on cricket."
"That's the spirit!" Ahaan exclaimed, clapping him on the back. "Now, let's grab some snacks and celebrate your newfound determination."
As they headed to the kitchen, the mood lightened, laughter filling the air, and Akaay began to feel a sense of belonging and comfort from his friends and family. He realized that while heartbreak was tough, he had a solid support system ready to help him through anything.
As the laughter in the kitchen continued, Vamika's phone suddenly buzzed on the counter. Ahaan picked it up, glancing at the screen. It was Samaira calling.
