End of an Era

Prologue

In the year 2025, the next stage in human evolution has been found. It started with children showing weak abilities, mostly telekinesis. As they grew, and subsequently reproduced, they, and their children, grew in strength. The second generation children, by then known as Novum, showed higher levels of strength and more power than their parents. 

The governments of the world had by this time become much colder and much more ruthless. Namely, America. In 2023, America finally shed their over ten years of debt. This miracle came in the form of World War 3. Asia had banded together, having had enough of America’s boasting and unneeded fighting. They vowed to wipe America off the map. The Middle East joined this union and war sparked. However, the West had been expecting it. The Allies, now going as the United Countries, had already put action into motion. Twelve days after the Eastern Conglomerate declared war, the west hit their capitols all at once. America spear headed this by leading the assault on Beijing. What the media did not know, during the initial missile strikes on China’s economic center, the buildings were full of civilians. The missiles destroyed the center, unbalancing China’s economy, and destroying all records of the United States debt. From there, the UC troops marched across the capitols, taking down key targets. The whole war lasted one year. It became known as the year of the eagle.

Now, what was once the UC, is now the UCA, United Countries of America. America had quickly made soldiers and weapons out of the Novum, instituting a new method of training, partial indoctrination. Designed to eliminate fear, it made the soldiers deadly. With only a handful of free Novums, the great Maelstrom of war is just on the horizon.
