I woke up feeling the warm rays of the sun hitting my face, a soft reminder that it was a new day. I quickly turned to the other side, stretching my arms high above my head while letting out a big yawn.

I reached for my phone in the night stand, hoping to catch a few more minutes of sleep. But as I squinted at the screen, my heart sank.

7:00 AM.

Monday.

The panic hit me like a cold splash of water. My class is starting in just thirty minutes, and I was nowhere near ready.
I have a damn 30 minutes to be there.

Why didn't Bella wake me up !?!?

"Bella, why didn't you wake me up?!" I shouted, when suddenly realization hits me...

Tangina

Bella is not home. A wave of frustration washed over me as I recalled that she stayed over at her "friend's" place last night. Great timing, Bella.

I quickly opened my phone to check my alarm clock. I should have been awake when my alarm rang... Damn you, alarm clock!

It wasn't set?!?! I totally forgot to set it last night. Arghhh!

With a groan, I threw off my blanket and leaped out of bed. My feet hit the floor, and the coldness jolted me awake even more. I dashed to the bathroom, adrenaline surging as I turned on the shower. While the water warmed up, I brushed my teeth with one hand.

Multitasking was going to be my survival skill today.

My thoughts raced as I tried to mentally piece together what I needed for the day—textbooks, notebooks, maybe even a decent breakfast. But with time slipping away, I settled for a hasty wash and a quick rinse, not bothering to do my usual ligo routine.

Damn it.

After showering, I headed to my walk-in closet and grabbed the nearest decent outfit I could find: a white tee and black jumper. They were comfortable and versatile enough for me not to get dress-coded at school.

I quickly dressed, barely taking a moment to glance in the mirror. My hair was still damp, but there was no time for styling. I pulled it into a messy bun, hoping it didn't look as disheveled as I felt.

A quick swipe of my favorite lip gloss completed the look—or at least it gave me the illusion of having my life together.

I dashed into the kitchen, hoping to snag something to eat before bolting out the door. The only thing I could find was a loaf of bread on the counter. I grabbed a slice, popped it into my mouth, and headed for the door, grabbing my bag and my car keys.

It wasn't a gourmet breakfast, but at this point, I'd take whatever I could get.

7:23 AM

Seven minutes left.

"Come on, come on!" I muttered, mentally urging myself to hurry. I bolted out the door and jumped into my car, starting the engine with a sense of urgency. At twenty years old, I had my license, and today, I needed every ounce of driving skill I had.

I jumped into the driver's seat, cranked the engine, and sped off. But, of course, the universe had other plans. Traffic was an absolute nightmare.

My heart was pounding—not from the rush of the morning, but from the anxiety of possibly being late.

The cars barely inching forward. My frustration mounted as I glanced at the clock on my dashboard.
