We were in a dead end. Rin kicked a garbage container towards the zombies.

"Cover your ears." We heard someone say.

We did without questioning it, and a loud squeaking sound was heard. The zombies all screamed in agony.

"Let's go...!" I yelled, noticing that the zombies seemed distracted now.

We managed to run past them. I turned to look to the roof and saw a figure dressed in black disappear.

Whoever that was, I'm really glad they helped us just now...

"Hah...are you two alright...?" We were exhausted and panting.

"What a hassle..." Nagi mumbled. While I sat down on the floor.

We were currently in a little café, with the windows and doors blocked, so neither the zombies could see us or come in.

Rin was searching around the café, hoping to find something useful. "We need to get back to the car and drive back home."

Nagi, who was lying in the seat, groaned. "Right now, the car is out in the open, It'd be risky to go there."

Noticing Rin's and Nagi's sour mood, I spoke up, I didn't want them to end up fighting..."How about we rest here first...? You know to take a break before going out again?"

"And have potentially a stranger steal the open car? Hell no."

Well, he was kinda right about that..."But going out all worn out won't do it either..." I paused before speaking again. "That person from earlier though...I'm really thankful for them."

"Even so, we shouldn't trust that person this fast just yet. We don't know who they are."

'How stoic...'

"Either way...thanks to them we managed to survi- ah...achoo-!...Sorry..."

I wish looks could kill cause Rin's glare was as sharp as a knive. If he glared at the zombies like that, they would all die...."Don't get sick now, idiot."

"I have a good immune system, don't worry..."

I sat down at the table. We still haven't found Isagi and the others... It was frustrating. Very frustrating.

They've genuinely grown on me.

With the amount of zombies chasing us earlier, I felt a sense of doubt for the others. But then again, none of those zombies were them, so I had a little faith.

Where could they have possibly gotten???

"You still worried?"

I looked at Nagi before looking back at the table. "Yea."

"Reo is with them, so don't worry too much."

I couldn't help but chuckle just a little. How can someone have so much faith in a person? But then again, I guess it's a good thing. It means they genuinely have a great bond...

"Who would've thought? A few teenagers, trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. Sounds straight out of a movie..." I don't know how Nagi is doing it, but I am feeling a little better now.

Maybe it's the feeling that I know I am not alone, That keeps me going.

"You are a lot more talkative, Y/N." Nagi had his arms crossed over the table as he leaned his head sideways in his arms.

"Huh?"

"Dunno, I guess you just seem less silent than when we met."

"Ahaha...is that so? I don't know, I'm just probably worked up right now."
