Sometimes, I sense the distance,
a quiet retreat, your absence stretches,
like shadows at dusk,
days drip slowly, and "I"
a forgotten thought waiting,
wondering, if you even glance
at the space where I used to be.
But then I feel the weight,
a thrum of regret, my heart whispers,
it was me my fault,
yet you'll never know
how long I loved you,
before you even knew
the echoes of my name.
