Orm Kornnaphat had a plan for college: find freedom, make friends, and maybe finally leave her mom's watchful eye behind. Moving out of her hometown to Bangkok felt like the start of everything new. No more curfews, no more constant comparisons to her mom's career—just her own life waiting to begin.
But, true to form, her first day didn't exactly go as planned.
After hours of dragging luggage and navigating the bustling city, Orm was sweaty, tired, and utterly convinced that her new condo would be the perfect escape from chaos. Yet, as she stepped inside the sleek condo on the 12th floor, she was met not with peace, but with the sharp gaze of someone who looked like she belonged in a luxury magazine spread, not standing in the middle of Orm's supposed new living space.
"What are you doing here?" the girl demanded, voice calm but edged with steel. Tall, perfectly poised, and dressed like she'd just walked out of a fashion shoot, she stared Orm down, assessing her like she was some out-of-place object.
"Uh... this is my condo?" Orm managed, suddenly feeling every bit of the sweat on her brow.
The girl's eyes narrowed. "This is my condo."
Silence hung thick in the air as Orm looked around, the realization creeping in that maybe, just maybe, she was on the wrong floor.
"Well... I guess this is awkward," Orm mumbled, her usual humor slipping in despite the nerves. But the girl didn't laugh; she barely blinked.
In that moment, Orm knew one thing: she and this stranger were complete opposites. And as she finally found her way to her actual room, she couldn't shake the feeling that this stranger's face—the one with the sharp eyes and elegant indifference—wouldn't be easily forgotten. Little did she know, their paths had only begun to cross.
