P A R I S

After a long day of dodging endless prom talk at school, I finally make it home and crash onto my bed. Everyone was obsessing over outfits and dates like it was all that mattered. All I want now is a some peace and quiet.

Then, my phone buzzes on the nightstand. I glance over and see Luciano's name lighting up the screen. Exhaustion fades instantly, and I can't help but smile as I answer.

"Come outside." He says simply.

I frown, moving to peek out the window. I see his car parked out front, his figure sitting inside, waiting. I let out a huff, half amused and half exasperated.

"Why?" I ask, pouting slightly. "I don't really feel like going out today."

"Paris," he calls, his voice both firm and coaxing. "Just come out."

I sigh, rolling my eyes even though he can't see it.

"Fine." I mutter, warmth creeping into my tone.

I grab my jacket and head outside, the cool air hitting me as I walk to his car.

"Shouldn't you be at work?" I ask, giving Luciano a look as I slide into the passenger seat.

He just smirks, shifting the car into gear.

"I'm the boss, remember?"

"Oh, right. Must be nice to make your own schedule, Mr. Boss," I tease, glancing over at him and he chuckles, a low sound that makes me feel warm all over. "So... where are we going?"

He doesn't answer right away, just gives me that little sideways smile of his as he keeps his eyes on the road.

"You'll see." He says simply, and I let out a playful groan, leaning back in my seat.

"You always do this." I mutter, unable to hide my smile.

He reaches over, squeezing my thigh gently before focusing back on the road.

"Just trust me."

And, as always with him, I do. After a short drive, we stop in front of a building radiating elegance and class. I glance at the grand entrance and recognize the name on the door—it's one of those high-end boutiques I've only ever seen in magazines or passed by in town.

I quickly catch on, but before I can react, Luciano's door clicks open, and he's already out. He strides around the car, opens my door, and stands there, giving me that familiar, unwavering look that leaves no room for arguments.

"Luciano... why did you bring me here?" I ask, folding my arms. "I already told you—I don't want to go."

He crouches down to my level, his gaze soft as he takes my hands and gives them a gentle squeeze.
