Have you ever felt like you were missing something?

I'm not talking about the daily things you look over and not think about twice.

But really missing something.

Something you know you cannot feel complete unless you figure out what it Is.

But what exactly is it?

I found myself getting bored with my daily routine of sipping coffee from the small bakery which resided in our town. This bakery was owned and run by a local housewife, divorced with 3 kids and needing some way out of financial depression. I decided to spend my money here, rather that continuously feeding the monster that hid beneath the system.

My corner table sitting next to the large glass pane window only had one chair. I watched silently as the usual rain tapped on the windows. There wasn't a day in this town where there wasn't some kind of water falling from the sky. You could say there was no danger of ever being in a drought.

My raincoat sat on the back of my chair, my hair was in my face. I pushed my blonde locks behind my ear, and tightened onto my coffee cup. Guests started to pile into the little bakery as the 9 am breakfast rush began. I smiled to myself and sipped on my coffee.

Usually I wouldn't attempt to use my powers in such a small environment, but it wasn't too busy and no one paid attention to the girl in the corner. I slowly closed my eyes and gathered a small amount of the energy in the room. I focused my actions into my hands, and slowly the energy transferred from my fingertips to my breakfast, effectively warming it.

I peeked my eyes open and made sure no one was watching. As usual, everyone was minding their own and focusing on the events in front of them. I slowly dropped my hands and smiled to myself.

As I began to chew through my food, a chill ran through my spine as the door opened, sending goosebumps all over my skin. I gasped in surprise. These weren't the typical chills derived from the cold itself. These chills almost seemed... pleasurable?

I felt a warm energy enter the room, one I had never felt before. This energy was almost unnatural by all the warmth it was emitting. The warmth made its way over to me, where I felt it consume almost every inch of my body. Where I had gotten the chills moments before, now I was overheated, and began to sweat. I peeled off another layer of clothes, embarrassingly leaving me in a tank top with toothpaste stains.

I turned to see where all this weird activity was coming from. Certainly it could not have come from another person, humans just weren't capable of giving off waves of energy so intense without consciously being aware. It was a gift from the universe to be able to feel and give off energies knowingly.

My eyes connected with a pair that was already watching me. In an instant, I knew where these waves were coming from. His eyes were amber, and sent a chill throughout me once again. I felt myself struggling to breathe by the looks of his eyes. I tried to turn my head away, but found myself in a trance by this.. Incredible stranger. His messy brown hair almost looked tousled on his head from the rain. Messy but incredibly.. Attractive? I felt myself gulp. The stubble on his jawline was enough to send me into a frenzy of hormones I only experienced as a teenager. This man was gorgeous, just by the looks of his face. I couldn't help myself but picturing what could be under all of his dark clothes. Surprisingly I found myself wanting nothing more but to rip them off and see for myself.

His eyebrow raised at me, along with a devilish smirk, almost as if he knew what I was just thinking. I felt my cheeks get red from embarrassment, and only when he looked away for a second I could snap my head away. I felt the cool air reach my lungs again, the warmth still residing in my body. I tried to rid of the energy by thinking of all the cool air around me, but it was too much.
