Olivia's POV
We soon arrived at the school, and I was blown away once again by how magnificent it looked. Students work in and out of the buildings while some sit on the lush grass, talking and laughing with each other.
I was a bit nervous as I watched them. What would they think of me? Would they hate me? Back at home, no one liked me much because I spent most of my time with Papa. When I was finally old enough and realised I needed my own friends, most people were already paired up.
My excitement suddenly drained away and was replaced with anxiety. I didn't want to go to school anymore.
Pierre parked the car and got out to open the door for me. I stepped out nervously and looked around, expecting glaring eyes looking in my direction. However, nothing happened. My presence didn't even ripple the peace of this place. I was just like everybody else; that was how I wanted it to be.
I felt the excitement rush back into me, and Pierre and I walked into the building. I thought the outside of the building was magnificent, but the inside was on a whole different level. The marble floors sparkled, and I could almost see my reflection in them.
The hallway lights were bright and reflected beautifully off the marble floors. Students walked in a dignified manner past me, rushing to and from their classes, and the teachers were dressed exceptionally, as if every day were a posh office party.
We soon got to the receptionist's office, and Pierre greeted her with a smile.
"Good afternoon, Regina."
The lady looked up, gave Pierre a beaming smile, and shook his hand.
"Pierre, it is so nice to meet you. Did you come with the Alpha? Is he here?"
She looked nervously over his shoulder for any sign of André, but she was soon disappointed. André wasn't coming.
"The Alpha is in a very important meeting and will not be with us today. However, he did give me instructions to take Miss Olivia here and get her registered for school."
It was only then that her gaze met mine. She smiled at me, and I noticed her lipstick. It was just as red as my mom's.
A part of me couldn't help but wonder if red lipsticks were André's thing, and they somehow knew about it."Hello, Olivia. Welcome to Crestwood College. It is so nice to meet you, and it is a great pleasure to have you as part of our academic program."
I smiled back at her and gave her a polite nod. I couldn't wait to get the registration started. She reached into her desk drawer and pulled out a sheet of paper.
"You are to complete the form and take it directly to the Dean of Academics. He will help you choose your courses and get you registered for the new session. We are currently running the post-graduate session, which will end in a few weeks. This way, you can start a new session from the beginning and be on the same level with the others."
I thanked her, and Pierre and I walked to the Dean of Academics' office. On the way there, I glanced at the classrooms and was blown away. They were so well furnished and kept sparkling clean.
We passed a few students, and luckily for me, they walked right by me. They didn't stop to stare, and I couldn't help but remember back at home.
I was the lonely orphan who hadn't gotten her wolf even until my eighteenth birthday. Here, I felt like everyone else, except that I was mated to the Alpha. But I wasn't going to let anyone know that.
We soon got to the Dean's office, and Pierre knocked. After a few seconds of waiting, we walked in.
The Dean looked up at Pierre and me and stood up almost instantly."Pierre, this is such a surprise. Is the Alpha with you?"
Pierre walked up to Dean and shook his hand firmly.
"Good afternoon, the Alpha didn't join me today, but he gave me instructions to help Miss Olivia get registered for the new session. She has filled out the form, and the receptionist asked her to bring it to you."
I greeted the dean and handed him my form. He took it with a smile and began to look through the paperwork.
I sat down in the chair, and the dean and I began to talk about my courses. After knowing I had shifted once, he helped me register my full werewolf shifter courses for the session.I was excited to learn how to hunt and fight like a werewolf. If Dad were alive, he would be really proud.
After many more questions, we finally rounded up the registration, and I was assigned my class for the beginning of the new session. I felt like hopping around excitedly, and I knew the dean could read the excitement on my face. He stretched out his hand and offered me a handshake.
"Welcome to Crestwood College, Miss Olivia. I can't explain how happy we are to have you join us."
I shook his hand with a big grin on my face. I was just as excited as he was.
The Dean and Pierre gave me a quick tour of the school. The facilities were top-notch. Andre had really put a lot of work into the school, which was magnificent. The basketball courts were well-equipped, and they even had an indoor pool for swimming practices. I was about to ask where the werewolf courses would take place, but Pierre told me it was time to go.
We said goodbye to the Dean and headed outside to the car. I was about to get in, but Pierre stopped me.
"I am very sorry, Miss Olivia, but you will not go home with me."
"What?"
I looked at him mortified. What was he talking about? He couldn't leave me out here by myself. How was I going to get home?
"What are you talking about? I can't get home by myself. I don't even have money to hire a cab."
I hadn't even seen cabs around here.
Pierre chuckled lightly, but I didn't see what was funny about the entire situation.
"Miss Olivia, I only said I wasn't taking you home alone. You will go home, but not with me."
"Then who is taking me home?"
Pierre turned his head and nudged towards the car that was parked at a far corner of the school.
"You should go over. There's someone that wants to see you..."
