Jimin placed a plate of food in front of his baby before sitting down; he was in no rush today; they all had a day off.

He watched his son eat his food while Jimin played with his own, not having an appetite.

Jungkook had not pushed Jimin to tell him why he had gone and met with his ex. Instead, the alpha had held his mate while he cried into his chest.

Memories had flooded through his mind; he had clutched Jungkook as he let it all out.

Jimin had fallen asleep in his arms, and the next few days, jungkook had gone, not mentioning the event, never asking Jimin to elaborate.

But Jimin felt he needed to tell Jungkook, make it known that he had no feelings for Yoongi, that his heart only belonged to his alpha.

Jungkook walked into the dining room, fresh out of the shower. Jimin looked at the man as he walked toward Jungmin and kissed him on the forehead before doing the same to Jimin and finally sitting down.

Jimin got him his plate of food, wanting to say something, but Jungkook hadn't looked at him, and it hurt.

Jimin sat down, his head hung low as he continued to play around with his food.

Jungkook glanced at him and sighed before speaking, "Please eat." Jimin was startled as he lifted his gaze, and his eyes found Jungkook's. He felt he could burst into tears. His alpha was looking at him.

Jimin sucked in a breath and finally took a bite of his food; Jungmin, oblivious to it, all excitedly announced that he was done, took his empty plate into the kitchen before running off to play in his room, leaving his parents alone.

Jimin looked at Jungkook. "I- I need to talk to you." Jimin finally mustered up the courage to speak, and all he got in return was a nod.

Once done with their plates, jimin walked into the kitchen, placing the dishes in the sink. The boy started washing them.

Jungkook walked in after him and helped him towel the dishes; not a word was exchanged until Jimin couldn't do it anymore; he sighed as he turned to look at Jungkook.

"Please, say something, be mad, yell, take it on me or anything, just-please," Jimin begged, but Jungkook didn't look up at him as he dried the last plate.

Jimin felt tears prickling at the corner of his eyes. He took another shaky breath and hesitantly pinched jungkooks shirt between his trembling fingers.

"Please,"

Jungkook finally looked at him, and Jimin wanted to fall in his embrace and never leave, being surrounded by his alpha's scent as he buried his face into his chest.

But the boy held back.

Jungkook looked at Jimin, seeing the struggle in his eyes. He lifted a hand and placed it on Jimin's cheek; the omega, in return, shut his eyes.

"Why?" was all jungkook whispered; Jimin opened his eyes and looked at jungkook.

"I- I didn't know why at first.. but when I saw him sitting there waiting for me.. all I could think of was closure; we went our separate ways in such a way I wish upon no one." Jimin looked at Jungkook. When the alpha didn't say anything, Jimin continued.

"I-I wanted our ending to be less painful, maybe seeing him with someone else knowing I finally have someone who cares for me like he never did I could walk away from him and be at peace"

"I know it sounds extremely stupid-" Before Jimin could start insulting his thoughts, jungkook shushed him and shook his head.

Jimin smiled "I guess I wanted to walk away with a better image of my son's father rather than the one he left me with, I just wanted to put it all behind and be content that yes he left Jungmin but what I got out of it was better than I could imagine"

"I carry your mark jungkook, I may have known him longer, and we may have had a deeper history but at the end of the day, my mind, my body, my soul only yearn for you"

Jimin felt his chest constrict as he spoke his truth; Jimin lifted his gaze. He knew if he had looked at Jungkook while he spoke, he would have been a stuttering mess.

So when jungkook caught his eyes, Jimin's breath hitched. His alpha's eyes were filled with love for him, and that was all Jimin wanted.

"I know you do not love him," jungkook finally spoke, his other hand reaching to cup Jimin's cheek.

"But it hurts, hurts that you couldn't have been honest with me, I was extremely worried when you didn't come home on time, I had to ask Taehyung to pick up Jungmin from school, called the babysitter while I panicked looking for you"

Jimin lowered his gaze, feeling guilty; he had not realized how much time had passed.

"Jimin," Jungkook said, raising his face once again. "Don't cry, baby,"

"I was thankful enough to be walking in that direction when I felt your distress; I had the worst thoughts in my head," Jungkook said as he rubbed his thumb over Jimin's red cheeks and wiped his tears.

"I will never lash out at you, I'll never be mad at you. I took a moment to collect my thoughts, and it might not have been the best way to be silent when we live under the same roof." A flicker of a smile was caught by Jimin.

"I'm sorry for the silence I gave you, I love you, my baby, my omega, thank you for being honest,"

Jungkook pressed his lips on Jimin's forehead, and that was it. Jimin let out a sob as he fell into jungkooks arms, clutching for dear life as he mumbled that he did not deserve someone like Jungkook.

The alpha, in return, rubbed his back while he whispered words of love and shushed Jimin's bad thoughts.

"You deserve so much more; do not undermine yourself, my little Min," Jungkook whispered as he kissed the boy's head.
