Nemona x Reader: The Journey of A Lifetime

Hello Paldea!

Y/N was just a regular schoolboy from the Sinnoh region, with only one major drawback. He took every loss a bit too harshly. Since you faced these issues back since when you were a young boy, you had developed some questionable mood swings as a teen, mainly that of anger, mixed with confusion. And that was enough for your mother to send you to the prestigious Naranja academy, situated all the way in the Paldea region, hoping that you would improve while under the watch of your father, who was a professor, who accompanied professor Sada in exploration of the great Crater of Paldea.

-Timeskip 1 month-

On a bright and clear sunny day, a loud blaring horn was heard amongst the local clamor of Levincia Docks. The large ship, A thing of beauty that goes by the name of S.S Victory had just moored itself into the Levincia Docks. Out got an energetic, yellow Shinx, along with a rather gloomy, dull looking boy, whose personality was in a stark contrast to that of his partner. The fact that he was expelled from old school didn't make his mood any better. What was the crowning cherry on top for your already bad day was the fact that your father wasn't even the one to receive you at the docks. Instead, it was one of his friends, who own a motel in the cozy town of Medali. He took you to your house, south of the small town of Los Platos, to a small cliffside villa by the name of Cabo Poco. You saw a large mansion on the way to your house, but let your hopes get a teensy bit too high, and was instantly let down by the size of your actual house. It wasn't that small, but after seeing the mansion and the fact that your father was a researcher, you'd have expected a slightly bigger house. Your Dad's friend, who went by the name of Miguel, handed you the key, before heading out, letting you know that you could call him for anything that you may need. "Thanks Mr.Miguel" is all you said, before he smiled and headed his own way.

A few hours later, things finally looked like it was going your way as you managed to get your room out of a mess, before Shinx completely messed up your bed, which got you angry enough to withdraw it into its pokeball. Not a lot of Pokemon got the honor from Y/N to be withdrawn into their Pokeballs. Usually, Y/N prefers to let his Pokemon roam around freely, only recalling them for travelling purposes, or for times when he is just annoyed by their behavior. You took a moment to yourself to calm down, before letting Shinx out again, which sparkled as it came out of its ball, indicating that it was a shiny. "Shi- Shinx!" It tried apologizing, to which you just nodded, letting it know that you accepted its apology.

*SIghs* "We really messed up back home, didn't we?" Y/N asks Shinx.

Shinx didn't really know what to do, since you had caught it just before you left SInnoh. You just sighed to yourself again, before looking around, and realizing that you had spent so much time cleaning the place that you really didn't notice the sun go down, and also that you were absolutely starving. You quickly whipped up a ham sandwich, which you didn't even have second thoughts to while devouring it, and within the span of half an hour, you were in your pajamas, ready to sleep. You turned off the lights, and soon, Shinx was fast asleep, before you, well, you just laid there, just thinking about all the friends that you left back in Sinnoh. You had some amazing friends back in Sinnoh, who you had promised that you'd return back to them as soon as you got the chance to. Time flew, and so did your last bits of energy, which eventually led to you falling asleep.

The next day, you freshen up with a bath, and a change of clothes saw you ready to tackle any problems thrown at you. You were 15 after all, and you were ready to explore the vast region of Paldea. As soon as you step out of the house though, you were greeted by the Director of the School that you were going to be enrolled in. Your father had already arranged all the enrollment details, which somewhat made it easier for you to manage. The Director introduced himself as Mr. Clavell, and looked quite old. You just smiled at him, and greeted him in what you thought was a polite manner, to which he nonchalantly nodded to. He explains everything that you already knew about enrolling and extra curricular activities since your dad had explained it over the phone, but you stood there listening patiently to him, hoping to make a good impression on him. He took what you thought was a long time to finish his "Yapping session" before he handed you three Pokeballs, which contained 3 of the starters of Paldea. He asked you to spend some time with them, and eventually choose one of them once you had walked down to that mansion you had seen earlier. You reply with a nod, not really in the mood to talk much, as he handed you your admission certificate to you and walked away down the path that lead to that house.

You let the 3 pokemon play around you, laughing at all the goofy acts they pulled out as you tried your best to bond with them. Even Shinx had fun with all 3 of them, playing around with them, exclaiming in excitement as they showed their tricks to one another. around a quarter of an hour later, you reach the house, and see Mr. Clavell engaged in a conversation with another girl in a school uniform, who you assumed was the head girl Nemona that Clavell had mentioned in his earlier explanation to you. As you enter, they both turn to greet you, while you made the mistake of making eye contact with Nemona, which made you completely lose your composure. Only one thing rushed through your mind at that moment, and that was the fact that she actually looked cute. You couldn't explain what happened, but all you were able to say was... "Hi."
