I then spent a good portion of the trip explaining how my magic 'slab' contains many different spells inside it, and somehow along the way we got to music.
"You wanna hear a favorite song of mine?" Asta nodded excitedly, watching me tap away at my 'grimoire'.
"Here we go, "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5." I clicked on it then applied it to the "speaker" app. When I did this, my phone started playing the song really loudly. It sounded like it was all around us, it was pretty cool. As the song started playing I began singing softly. The three of us kept walking and I started to zone out. The other two, on the other hand, were staring at me incredulously. They were amazed not only by the spell, but the song and my voice. I was totally oblivious to this though.

We listened to music the entire way there and I discovered their tastes in music. Asta, unsurprisingly, was a fan of rock music. He really liked My Chemical Romance, which made me laugh. What did surprise me though, was Yuno's taste. His favorite song was Stick Season, which I did not expect. I mean, I don't know what I was expecting, but slow pop was not on my list.

Putting that aside, after our long trip, we had finally arrived at the capital, and let's just say, I was in heaven. The crowded streets, the crumbling bricks beneath my feet, the chatter of merchants and customers, the aura of magic, the way the wooden framed buildings gave a homey aura, it was incredible. Compared to the polluted air, the skyscrapers that were nothing but glass squares, and the cars that roared through the street, this was....beautiful.

"Hey, are you okay?" I heard Yuno ask me and I turned to him confused.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" Then Asta cut in.
"Y/n! Why are you crying!?" When he said this, I finally realized that tears were falling from my eyes. I quickly wiped them away, smiling at the two of them.
"I'm fine, just...happy. That's all." I smiled and Asta smiled back while Yuno just nodded.

After that we made our way to the arena. I would've thought that it was pretty cool if it didn't make me think of the roman colosseum. Eh, it was still pretty cool. We all got in line, waiting our turn. When I got to the booth, the guy asked for my grimoire.
"Uh, oh right, yeah....here." I slowly set my phone down, extremely nervous. He looked at it suspiciously, but after a minute he handed it back.
"you're good to go." I audibly sighed in relief before making my way through the crowd. I had lost Asta and Yuno in the commotion and was now on my own. Unfortunately, I seemed to end up lost. So here I am, walking the empty halls of this massive building.
'Where to go, where to go.' I thought to myself while fumbling around with my Clover maps app. However, my inability to multitask made it so I wasn't paying attention. Next thing I know, I rammed into something hard yet slightly soft. As I collided, I dropped my phone and started to fall backwards, but before I hit the ground, something, or someone, caught me.
"H-Huh?" I mumbled out while looking up at my savior. It was a man, an attractive one, with white hair in this weird braid in the front of his face. He had cold eyes and seemed to be glaring at me, but he didn't let go of my waist.
"U'um, sorry for running into you. Thanks for catching me....you can let go now." I said to him. His eyes widened a little then he let go of me and turned away.
"Aren't you supposed to be in the arena?" He asked me coldly, glaring at me, yet eyeing my outfit.
"Are you a noble? I haven't heard of you?" I bent down and picked up my phone then looked up at him, wow he was tall.
"No, um, I'm a commoner, and I'm....lost." I rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly. When I said this his gaze seemed to shift momentarily before returning to normal, then he turned around and started walking away. Guess he hates commoners. I sighed to myself, looking down at the ground.
"Are you coming?" looked up at him surprised. He glanced at me and kept walking. I quickly followed him, walking next to him, but slightly behind. He seemed to notice this.
"Why do you drag behind?" He asked me without looking.
"Oh, well. You're my superior. Isn't it disrespectful?" He seemed slightly surprised by this.
"Hmm, a commoner who knows their station.."
"Hey." I stood in front of him, my hands on my waist, stopping him in his tracks.
"I'm not showing you respect for being a noble. That's something you were given, not something you earned. I'm showing you respect because you're helping me out and because I can tell that you are powerful and more experienced than I am. I will respect you for the hard work you put in, and for your character, not for your birth." I flipped my hair a little and got back in line with him, returning to our previous position while he stared silently.
"Speechless?" I smirked and his gaze turned to a glare.
"Insolent.....intriguing..." I only hear the first word he said, but chose to ignore it as we continued our way.
Eventually we reached the arena and he turned to leave.
"Hey, I don't know who you are, but thanks for the help. I didn't mean to offend you, but I don't like cocky people. I'm Y/n Jin by the way, just call me Y/n!" I smiled at him as he turned away. He completely ignored me and began walking away, making me huff.
"....Call me Nozel." I smiled at this as he disappeared around the corner.

After that I hurried into the arena, the hundreds off people crowding around me. As I stood there, I managed to spot Yuno in the crowd.
"Y-Yuno!" I shouted as people seemed to bump into me. I know I was small, but being trampled was beneath me.
"Hey! Stop! Move over! Agh!" I tried shoving everyone away, but they kept crowding and this was ridiculous.
"Oww!" I yelled as ,I think, the hilt of someone's sword got jabbed into my side. Then, in the midst of the chaos, I felt a pair of arms lift me up and carry me away.
"For Christ's sake, I'm not a handbag!" I am getting sick and tired of being carried.
"Geez, you asked me to help." The one who carried me said while setting me down.
"Huh?" I looked at the familiar voice.
"Oh! Yuno! Thanks for the save. Sorry for the yelling." He just shook his head.
"It's fine, are you alright?" He asked me as I dusted myself off.
"Yeah, it was like a mosh pit in there." He just looked at me confused.
"Eh, forget it." As I say this, a bunch of these weird birds were released. They started crowding around people, but none came to me and Yuno. Asta, however, had hundreds of them and he was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Me and Yuno just rolled our eyes. Eventually the birds left and a bunch of people appeared on a balcony, the only one I recognized being Nozel. In the middle of them was a rather extravagant guy with an odd mask on. He stepped out to the front and began speaking.

"Welcome to the magic knights exam!"
