Whispers Of Love: No Boundaries

Chapter Three

The queen. When the tinkers tell Queen Clarion what they had just heard, she gets a stern look on her face.

"She knows... the queen knows..." Vidia says, sinking to her knees.

"Vidia, what are we going to do?"

"I don't know. We'll figure something out. I promise." Becky looks at Vidia with tears in her eyes.

Vidia and Becky hug.

"Girls!" Becky and Vidia look up. It's the queen.

"Queen Clarion, we can explain." Vidia says.

"There's no need to explain. I know all about you two. Come with me." Queen Clarion says.

The two girls follow, encased in each other's arms.

When the three get to the Queen's chambers, the Ministers of the Seasons and Fairy Mary are there.

"Queen Clarion, please don't banish us. Our life is here. In Pixie Hollow. We have no other home." Becky says, temporarily forgetting her human life.

"You don't have a choice. You two are together. Either you call it off, or you'll both be banished to the human world forever." Queen Clarion says.

"Banished? As long as I'm with her, I don't care that I'm banished!" Vidia says.

"The same goes for me." Becky says.

"Vidia, Becky, I hereby banish you both from Pixie Hollow, to the human world."

Vidia and Becky leave for the human world after a tearful goodbye to their friends.

They appear in Becky's room, which is downstairs at the moment.

"Vid, did I ever tell you that two snakes were up in my old room last year?"

"No. That's why you're sleeping down here?"

"Yeah."

"Sounds pretty scary."

"It was."

"So your parents are still on vacation?"

"Yep. Until tomorrow."

"Cool."

That evening, Becky and Vidia settle in for the night.

"I'm really going to miss Pixie Hollow."

"Me, too, Becky. Me, too."

They soon hear a familiar jingling. The two girls look at each other.

"Guys? Is that you?" Becky asks.

"Becky! Vidia! We're over here!" Tinker Bell says. The two girls see Tink and the rest of their friends near the landing of the staircase, and they walk over to them.

"What are you guys doing here?" Vidia asks.

"We're here to support you."

"Guys... Queen Clarion won't let us come back. We're stuck here as humans. Forever." Becky says, sadly.

"Maybe you could help her see that you're not doing anything wrong."

"How, Tink?" Vidia asks.

"Well, we brought her here with us. She feels a bit guilty about banishing you." Rosetta says.

"I'll take it from here, Rosetta." Queen Clarion appears in front of Vidia and Becky, and they instinctively curtsy.

"Girls, give me one good reason why I should let you back into Pixie Hollow."

"We love each other, Your Highness. But we also love Pixie Hollow. It's our home. It may not be my only home, but it's the only home Vidia has ever known. If you want us to separate and let Vidia go back to Pixie Hollow... I don't really want to, but if it lets Vidia go back home, I'm willing to make that sacrifice."

"Becky... no one has ever made that kind of sacrifice for me. Thank you. I... I love you." Vidia says, taking Becky's hands before looking at Queen Clarion.

"Queen Clarion, if Becky must remain here as a human, I will, too. Pixie Hollow may be a part of us, but Becky is a special part of me. A part of me I can't live without. She needs me and I need her."

"Vidia, you'd be making a very big sacrifice for her. You're sure that's what you truly want?"

"Yes, Your Majesty."

Queen Clarion ponders what has been said over the past few minutes.

"Well, girls, after much consideration and thinking, I have made my decision."

"Vidia, how am I going to explain this to my parents?"

"We'll think of something, baby girl. I promise." Vidia touches her forehead to Becky's.

"I have made the decision to let Becky continue her life as a half-fairy, and to let Vidia begin her life as a half-fairy. You girls may stay together and come and go to and from Pixie Hollow as you please. But please do not shirk your duties in your talent guild. The law against two fairies or two sparrowmen being together will no longer exist."

"Thank you so much, Your Highness." Vidia and Becky say.

"You're welcome. Now, come. Let's get you girls back home to Pixie Hollow where you belong. Well, now partially belong."

Ecstatic, Becky and Vidia kiss.

They soon change back into fairies and follow their queen and their friends back home to Pixie Hollow, Becky coming back to her human home each day until nighttime, when her parents are asleep, and she goes back to Pixie Hollow to work on her tinkering duties and to spend time with her girlfriend and friends.

A few years later, in 2016, Becky and Vidia eloped in Pixie Hollow.

But that's not where their story ends.

For this is only the beginning.
