"Stupid Spoiled Whore" - South Park (on Paris Hilton)
For me, Paris Hilton is just the slightly more iconic and y2k version of Kim Kardashian. In fact, Paris Hilton is "friends" with Kim who was a closet assistant for her during her less popular era. Mention earlier, the only difference is that Paris is more of a y2k icon unlike Kim, who was a late 2000s-2010s "icon" if you will. The 2000s were cruel of celebrities, especially females (misogyny is something that upsets me very much) and very much Paris.
If you couldn't tell already, Paris Hilton's last name is literally Hilton. If that sounds similar, it is probably because of the massive hotel chain, Hilton Hotels. Paris' great-grandfather started the chain (which is no longer owned by the family) and because of that, Paris was rich growing up. Her aunts/mother were even in the show, "the real housewives of Beverly hills." which by the way, beverly hills is just, (as described by an online user) a "playground for the rich."
so that's where spoiled comes from, but how stupid?
"Paris is stupid" comes from the fact that she is rich. What do rich people know? Nothing, right? Paris constantly spoke in her baby voice, acted like an airhead, and doesn't know how to do anything. She only further pushed this idea when she released The Simple Life which involved Paris with Nichole Richie, another rich-ie (get it?) girl who was a bimbo. This show is funny and all, but it just showed us that Paris was stupid.
"What is walmart? Is that where they sell wall stuff?" - Paris Hilton on The Simple Life
Except she wasn't a dumb bimbo like everyone claimed, (which will be discussed later on) Paris did know what a Walmart is. in fact, she even have stuff she sells at Walmart like cooking stuff which I doubt Paris does but whatever.
Paris' road of fame was not easy although many claim it is. Sure, she had it easier but she also struggled and suffered a lot during gaining fame. Most famously, the s*x tape that was released by Paris' ex boyfriend. "A Night In Paris" was shared across the world right before the debut of "The Simple Life," which cause controversy. was it just a stunt to get people to pay attention to the show? paris claims that it was not a stunt and that she has not gained a penny from the tape, and she did not consent for the video to be published. Irregardlessly, it worked since everyone was focused on Paris because of the less than 1 minute, most likely very blurry, video of Paris Hilton having s*x.
Paris claimed in her new memoir that she could not go anywhere without being harrassed by paparazzi, and that she was struggling mentally at the time. She stated sincerely that there were times that she did not feel like staying alive, and criticized paparazzi and the media. That was for "stupid" and "whore."
But the word "whore" for Paris who had a tape of her having s*x released without her consent really isn't fitting. Why did the media critize Paris instead of the unknown random man who released and f***ed her? Recalling back to the memoir, Paris Hilton wrote that misogyny was common back then which explains it but I feel that it's very unjust. she also randomly added that her mother taught her to not be a desperate girl who would get on her knees for other men so, do with that info for whatever.
Wait- but the new(s) stories... did he, oops... i meant did she, participate in those stuff? I believe Paris did. a disappointment, yes, but there are photos of Paris with the mistake together, photos of Paris at the parties; sometimes with Kim, Paris talking to interviewers including one named Ellen degeneres about how great the parties are like ("...favorite party [at] Puffy Daddy...), paris hilton talking about the parties/mistake in her memoir, possibly videos, (which would not surprise me) everything. It is so obvious paris went to the parties and maybe (most likely) the after-parties. paris, how could you?
When i was writing the first book (can a rant be considered a book?), i hated south park. they were so rude to paris hilton with the episode featuring her. Don't get me wrong- I still do, however I get where they're coming from now. The creators have some insight and depict it in a silly and weird way. they were kind of right with that one episode- paris is maybe a wh*re. but don't quote me on that.
lastly, i want to add that paris is now displaying her business woman side of her more and more. she even stated that she would no longer play her, "character" which is the dumb blonde but she has really never dropped it. She still talks in her baby voice, says some dumb stuff, and dresses very much like it's still 2000s, wich isn't inherently wrong but her 2000s era is her "play dumb" era. but then she would go on to protest, speak for victims of the troubled-teen school industry, and have a song about ADHD released.
one week:
another:
paris should really just pick a role- responsible or "play dumb."
