"Even when we're apart, knowing you're safe is what keeps me going. Let's always look out for each other, no matter what."

In the dim glow of the prison cell, Rose's fingers moved deftly, casting intricate symbols mid-air, each faint pulse of her magic vanishing almost as soon as it appeared. With each motion, a slight shimmer tinged the shadows around her, like embers momentarily lighting up the dark. The guards lay fast asleep nearby, blissfully unaware of her subtle spellwork.
Her focus was absolute - until she cursed under her breath at a missed gesture, breaking her concentration.
"All because of that idiot," she mumbled, glancing down at her enchanted ring. "If Jungkook actually called like he was supposed to, I wouldn't have to sit here guessing if he even did what I told him. Idiot's probably busy showing off or-"
The ring suddenly flared to life, its glow brightening the cell.
This was no ordinary trinket; given to her by the Death Kingdom itself, it allowed Rose to reach out beyond her cell, an unbreakable lifeline for both emergencies and updates.
The enchanted ring held a hidden purpose-one carefully crafted in the depths of their plan. While most saw Rose as a prisoner, her being there was no act of submission; it was all part of a grander scheme, a calculated move.
Rose's eyes lit up, excitement flooding her face. She could just picture Jungkook, finally coming through, ready to apologize - but her anticipation vanished the instant she saw Taehyung's face instead.
Oh, fantastic," she drawled, her excitement replaced by boredom as she let her hand fall to her side. "And to what do I owe the pleasure?"
Taehyung narrowed his eyes, looking exhausted and a little exasperated. "Are you always this thrilled to see me?" he asked, sarcasm lacing his voice, though his gaze softened as he took in the darkened cell and the faint bruise forming along her wrist.
Rose shrugged, leaning against the wall with a casual smirk. "Well, I was expecting Jungkook to finally call. Didn't realize it was 'check in on Rose' day."
He scoffed, his gaze flickering over her, checking for signs of harm. "Right, because there's nothing I enjoy more than my little sister rotting in some dungeon."
She snorted, playing off his concern with a wave of her hand. "Please, I'm fine. Besides, I have my little spy ring," she wiggled her fingers, "and some guards who, thankfully, are heavy sleepers."
Taehyung's expression shifted, his eyes sharpening. "About that - have they been giving you any trouble?" His voice was soft, but his gaze held a fierce edge, one she knew meant trouble for anyone who so much as laid a hand on her.
Rose hesitated, then shrugged. "Nothing I can't handle. Though, a bit more entertainment wouldn't hurt. Maybe some reading material? A bit of ambiance?"
