SHANTIVAN  :

“It's because of this girl that my Shyamji was thrown out of here and is not with ME now. She and her sister forced him out of his own home, and you’re begging her to stay? Why couldn’t you see that she’s the reason YOUR Di is suffering right now, and you want to keep her here? Let her leave, Chote. If she goes away, everything would return to normal. My Shyamji would come back, and we could be happy like we used to be before this girl entered our lives. Everything would be fine again. Please, Chote, throw this girl out of my house and bring MY Shyamji back—please, for your Di! You promised Mamma that you would take care of me—your Di, right? Then please let her go, Chote, and bring back MY happiness—MY Shyamji!” Anjali urged, tenderly stroking Arnav's face. With tears in her eyes and a gentle touch, Anjali tried to manipulate Arnav into getting rid of Khushi for the sake of their family.

Anjali's unexpected remarks left everyone in shock and disgust. The disbelief was evident on their faces, yet Khushi remained unfazed. She had a feeling that something like this would happen, and her suspicions were confirmed. The residents of Shantivan struggled to come to terms with the woman they thought they knew. They could not reconcile this self-centred version of Anjali with the caring and loving person they had always known. Devyani Raizada, Anjali's dadi, was particularly affected by her words. She had always seen her late daughter Ratna in Anjali and had hoped that Anjali would be like Ratna, envisioning Arvind (Ratna's husband) as Arnav. However, seeing Anjali's blatant selfishness, Devyani was at a loss for words. She couldn't believe that Anjali would put her own selfish desires above her brother's marriage and happiness. It was hard for Devyani to comprehend that the same Anjali, who once wished for her brother to find love and happiness, was now determined to destroy it. The shocking revelation of Anjali's true character left everyone stunned and struggling to make sense of it all.

“I did so much to remove this girl from your life. I even went to the length of pretending to kill my Raajkumari so that you could see me in that condition and throw this girl out of your life and MY home, allowing my Shyamji to return so we could be happy again. Yet, you seemed determined to undermine my efforts, trying to keep her here instead of kicking her out! I never expected this from you.” Filled with disappointment, she shook her head while continuing her tirade, oblivious to the impact it was having on everyone in Shantivan. Anjali's remarks struck hard, creating a tense atmosphere among the listeners. Gasps erupted from everyone at her words. “ANJALIIIII,” Devyani Raizada exclaimed, clutching her chest and struggling to catch her breath at the bitterness of her granddaughter's statements.

Devyani Raizada was devastated as she listened to her granddaughter Anjali's words. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She couldn't believe that her Anjali bitiya had gone to such an extent to get rid of Khushi from Arnav’s life.

As Devyani looked at her grandson's face, she couldn't help but feel the weight of his hurt. His face became ashen. He was not even reacting now; it was as if he had turned to stone upon hearing all those words. It reminded her of a time long ago when another betrayal had struck their family, but this time it was even more painful as it came from within their own blood. Devyani knew that the pain Arnav was feeling now was reminiscent of the anguish he felt when he witnessed his mother's suicide. As history seemed to repeat itself, Devyani could only hope and pray that this time they would be able to overcome this betrayal and heal as a family once again.
