Though powerful and mighty, vampires are not invincible. They still fear the cross, holy water, garlic, and vervain. Death will come to them if they are staked through the heart, burned by fire, decapitated, or exposed to sunlight. They cannot enter someone's home without being invited, nor can they step into a church.

"Claudia, what do you think about this?" You raise an eyebrow, eyes glimmering as you look over at your sister, Claudia, who is sitting and reading with a nonchalant expression.

"Oh, it's ridiculous," Claudia waves her hand dismissively, a mocking smile crossing her lips. "They really think those useless things can ward us off? How absurd." She scoffs lightly, taking the book from your hands. You chuckle.

"Sis, sometimes reading these books is just a way to pass the time." You say with a mischievous grin. Claudia merely rolls her eyes.

"Claudia, do you look down on humans? Those weak, fragile beings." You look at her, your voice filled with mockery, but your eyes cold. Claudia pauses, her gaze distant for a moment before she sighs.

"No. Though different, they still have souls, thoughts, and character. They deserve respect." Her voice softens, like an admission tinged with emotion.

"I know you love a human." You say quietly, your sharp eyes fixed on Claudia. She freezes, her eyes widening in surprise.

"You know humans don't live long, right?" You ask, your tone challenging, waiting for her response.

"I know," She replies, her voice gentle but heavy, as though each word brings forth a deep, hidden sorrow.

"I know, but I still can't resist my feelings." You sigh, your gaze softening but still showing concern. "Claudia, I don't care what you're doing or thinking. I just don't want to see you suffer."

Claudia is silent, her gaze drifting back to the book in her hands, where once there was confidence and pride, now there's an indescribable hint of sadness.

"I love you, but you don't love me..."

"Oh, Draculaura, you've messed up my hair again!" you said, fixing your hair while Draculaura just giggled. "Oh! You're so cute, Alice!" Draculaura giggled as she pinched Alice's cheek. You sighed, exasperated by Draculaura's childish nature.

"Draculaura, I noticed uncle Dracula looked very serious when he was talking with my father earlier. Is something going on?"

"Are you curious? You know what they say-curiosity killed the cat! But if you're that curious, I'll tell you! I heard there's a cold-blooded killer going around lately, targeting mostly prostitutes, and many of them are patients at the Royal London Hospital. But, you know, the police still haven't caught them yet. They're so useless," Draculaura said, slapping her forehead with a sigh.

"But someone has taken on the case; it's the Queen's Watchdog, Ciel Phantomhive."

"Ciel Phantomhive?" You tilted your head in confusion. "I've never heard of him."

"Oh, come on! You really are so carefree!" Draculaura laughed as she pinched Alice's rosy cheeks.

"Why would I ever care about pointless things like that? And stop pinching my cheeks, it hurts!"

"Tee hee! Sorry!" Draculaura giggled. "Oh, by the way, I'm looking for Claudia. Do you know where she is?"

"Oh, she's in the library."

"Alright, thanks a lot!" With that, Draculaura quickly ran off, leaving you standing there alone.

"Ciel Phantomhive, huh? Let's see how you'll solve this case." You smirked, a sly grin crossing your face as you walked away.
