It wasn't everyday you would find Rohit feeling neglected, mostly because he had his chulbule ladke who were practically fighting each other for his attention .

But the feeling of being neglected wasn't because of his kiddos but someone else.

Also, it wasn't everyday Rohit would feel unloved because let's be honest he had a friend and a kid who would take a bullet for him aka Surya and Jassi and he had a friend and kid who would kill the one who fired the Bullet aka Virat and Hardik.

But the bullet that had grazed his heart, not literally, was fired by someone close to him, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, his Mahi bhai.

Rohit over the years at times had felt that he was just a second choice for Mahi but he never voiced his ridiculous thoughts.

Most of the people felt that he wasn't emotional. But the truth be told he was arguably the most emotional in the team he just didn't know how to express it.

Rohit was the last one Mahi would come to after a big loss, because he was supposed to be mature and handle himself. So instead he took refuge in different people be it Yuvi Paa, bhaji pa or even Sachin pajji at times.

Also, Mahi had everyone he wanted.

He wanted someone to have sensible and intellectual talks.
There were Ajju and Ash.

He wanted a dear friend and teammate.
There were Raina and Virat.

He wanted someone crazy and funny.
There were Shikhar and Jaddu.

He wanted kids that worshipped him.
There were Harry and Rishu.

And well, Then there was him. Somewhere between all of these.

Whenever Rohit had felt these weird feeling of getting neglected, somehow through his actions Mahi bhai had proved how much Rohit matters.

But once again the feelings surged from within him and the fact that they were 'In Ranchi' for a supposed match and Mahi bhai had talked to almost everyone but him in a while wasn't helping him.

Also, the fact that Virat and him had recently indulged in a silly fight of who is closer to Mahi wasn't helping his case much.

Virat had won the argument by a great margin, the media and the fans loved them together, there were photos of them hanging out all over media and Mahi had talked to Virat just 2 days ago.

When was the last time he had talked to Mahi?

Right, The Ambani's wedding!

Which also was a very rushed meet up because Mahi Bhai was apparently 'busy' with Akash Ambani.

Rohit felt neglected. He knew he shouldn't feel it, he was the captain now, had a bunch of hooligans to manage and all these was just childish.

But again deep within he was just a child, who had walked in the Indian dressing room between all these legends with twinkle in his eyes.

And all of them had welcomed him warmly. But Mahi bhai was the warmest. He felt safe with Mahi.

Slowly as the transition of the team took place and newbies entered the warmth reduced because he had to share it with others, which he did, gladly.

And he didn't blame Mahi for anything. He knew it was new for Mahi too. To manage a bunch of kids and make them feel welcomed. But he couldn't deny that between all this, he felt a lil distant from Mahi, the first time he felt ignored. Though the feeling went away with time or he just learnt to deal with it.
