You'd never been to Tokyo before, let alone Japan, so seeing the bright lights and all the people walking around in their kimonos and suits came to a shock to you. Your friend Nori, however, was born and raised in Japan for the majority of her life. It wasn't until 3 years ago she moved out, which is when you two met and became best friends.

Luckily, thanks to Nori you understood the Japanese language. She taught you everything there was to know, since you've been planning to go to this event for 2 years. It was a very popular "once in a lifetime" festival; which is why it lasts so long.

"Look at all the beautiful lights, y/n!" Nori shouts over the blaring music. You couldn't help but smile wide at everything going on. It was loud, bright, and just the thing you would normally hate; but this was a special occasion. "I can't believe I'm actually in Japan right now!" You shout back. "I know right? It feels so nice to be back in my hometown!" It was marvelous, you loved seeing how joyous everyone was.

It had felt like you two had been walking for eternity. Your legs were burning as much as your arms from carrying so many bags of goodies from the shops and games. "My legs hurt so bad!" You shout ahead to Nori, as you both shove through the crowd. "I know! We haven't even seen everything yet!" She finds a spot away from the crowd and heads that way, you follow.

"I don't remember festivals being that loud." Nori laughs. "Hey y/n, I know a guy here in Tokyo who might let us stay for a while. He lives in this weird old religious school on the outskirts of here." You make a pouty face, "I wish we could've seen everything.." Nori would've patted you on your shoulder if she wasn't carrying so much stuff. "Let's put our bags in my car and I'll drive us there." You nod.

You didn't know driving would take so long

You didn't know driving would take so long. All you could do was stare out the window at the black sky, watching the stars fly by. "Nori, how much longer is this going to take?" You ask, impatiently. "I'm sorry, y/n. I thought we would've gotten there by now; how's about we stop and sleep in the car, yeah?"

"No!" You interrupt. "It would be better if you just kept going, no need to stop." You could feel Nori looking at you, and you return her gaze. "Whatever you say." You put your hand on the tuner, looking for a radio station that would lift the exhausted mood. The static shifted back and forth, with no luck Nori moved your hand away. "We're getting close, there's no stations this far out." You roll your eyes and sigh. "Why did we have to go all the way out here anyway? Aren't there any hotels available?"

Nori laughs are your question, "we only bought enough money for the festival, dummy! I didn't expect those plane tickets to be so damn expensive." You let out a calming sigh. "Wake me when we get there." You say, shutting your eyes slowly.

Suddenly you wake to a slap on your thigh. "We're here, wake up sleepyhead." We're here? Damn that was fast. Slowly getting out of the car into the dark cold, you see the school Nori was talking about. "This is the school?" You ask, as both you and Nori close the car doors. "Mhm! This is where my friend stays."

"And how are you so sure he'll let us stay?" You and Nori walk up to the entrance. "He owes me a favor, quite a few favors in fact." She giggles.

Nori enters the school alongside you, and you don't see anyone

Nori enters the school alongside you, and you don't see anyone. She walks in a certain direction, waving for you to follow along and you comply. "How do you know where to go?" You both walk into a hallway, where there are a bunch of doors in a row. "I was here before, but only once." What great memory she has! To remember the layout of this place only being here once?

Nori checks all the rooms until finding one and walking inside, you hear whispers but can't quite make them out. Then you see her step out and wave at you to come and you follow. "This is y/n, the friend I told you about, Toge." You see a man with cloth covering half his face standing next to Nori. "Kelp." He says, raising his hand. "Uhh wha-"

"Inumaki speaks in rice balls ingredients, I'm still not so sure as of why." Nori says with a smile. You nod in acknowledgement. "He agreed for us to stay here, though he'll have to confirm with the higher ups." You nod once more, "Where can I sleep? I'm soooo tired." Inumaki pointed to a door, and you bowed slightly in gratitude, then walked off to the room.

You looked around the room, and saw the mattress in the middle of the room, laid down, and instantly fell into slumber.
