Jade
This morning, Seraphine and her family were coming from Brazil. Our fathers are cousins so they would be staying with us until their new house was ready. I waited in the family room and then the doorbell rang. I opened the door as two people walked in, one was Seraphine and the other was her mother.
"Hello, come in. I'm Jade, my mom will be downstairs in a moment." I said giving a welcoming smile. They walked in as my mom came downstairs, giving a hug to Mrs. Silva-Adams. She had remarried a man from America so she added to her name instead of changing it.
"Hi, I'm Jade." I said giving a little wave.
"I'm Sera, short for Seraphine." She said awkwardly.
"Girls, we are going to meet your fathers for lunch. Jadie, show Seraphine around later, okay?" I winced at the nickname.
"Okay." I replied as they walked out the door. I turned back to Sera, "Sorry but I have to go, but I will be back later to show you around." I said.
"Why can't I come with you?" She asked.
"Because I have to meet some people quick, but I promise I'll be back for you in gif. Now, where's my purse?" I went up to my room to grab my bag, but when I got back downstairs, Sera was gone. Oh crap!
