Hello, dear readers!
I have an important announcement about the story. This news might disappoint some of you, but I've decided to put the story on hiatus for now.
When I first began writing, I didn't have a clear plan for where the plot would go; I just followed the ideas that came to mind. As a result, the story and characters haven't been fully fleshed out. After some reflection, I've realized that a pause is necessary to give this story the attention it deserves. I'll be stopping at Chapter 14 to rewrite the chapters, rework certain characters (like Esther, who I completely forgot about!), and revamp the storyline. I might even change the title, as "Again" doesn't feel quite right for the direction I envision—what does "again" even mean here? Is Ben going to leave again? Will Ashe hurt Wayne again? I'm not sure myself, and that's exactly why I need to take this break.
My plan is to rewrite and polish everything before sharing the complete story, ideally by the end of the month or year. I also have ideas for a new firefighter/EMT and professor romance that I'm excited to work on. Plus, I've been wanting to improve my skills in writing intimate scenes; I want to bring real passion and emotion into them.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding! I'm sorry to those who've been eagerly following along, but I promise to come back stronger with this story. Stay tuned and thank you again for your support.
